Kandy Mountain Cottage

Really great people, I felt so well taken care for. The house is in a quiet environment with a beautiful garden. It was nice to wake up with the bird sounds. Breakfast is freshly made while you are sitting at the dinner table (eggs, roti, dahl, fruits, pancakes and other). They helped me rent a scooter for my round trip to Sigiriya and I could even leave my big backpack with them until I came back.

The pressure of the shower isn’t the best. It is a bit further from the center, but you can easily take the bus.

The accommodation was great and definitely worth walking up the hill/ taking tuktuk! We were glad we did not stay in Kandy city centre, it gets super noisy in the evening - especially the birds. Our room here was clean with air con, hot shower and outside seating with mountain view. The hosting family is super nice and they cook delicious breakfasts - coconut and honey pancake is one not to miss! It was the best accommodation we've had in Srí Lanka so far! Very quaint little hotel. The location isn’t all that bad, just about a 15-20 min walk into Kandy. The breakfasts were very filling and delicious. Overall this was a great stay and I would recommend.

The only things were that the room was on the small side and you can kind hear pretty well your neighbors through the bathroom walls.

We felt like home. We were welcomed so friendly and openminded and warmhearted. The hosts cooked DELICIOUS dinner for us and we ate together in the kitchen, which gave a really nice feeling of togetherness. Even our laundry got washed and we got helpful advices for our plans

The room was very clean and comfortable, the owners very kind and helpful.We had delicious breakfast and homemade dinner.Excellent value for money.

The owners are so lovely. The food was great. WE felt like at home. Our room was great an everything is very clean. Our bathroom was very Nice. WE were in the big room, which WE liked very much. Our friends had a small room, which was not so confortable. The view from the small terrace is Nice. And there are no moscitos.

The small room from our friends was not so convinient. The small room had a bad smell.

The owner's were lovely and cooked delicious food. Room's were great with a nice view. Great value for money

The owner's swindled us into believing they would help us get around and show us places. They insisted we go to this jewellery store where we were lured and pressured into buying very expensive gems. No doubt the owner's received a commission which was a real shame as they were lovely people.

We got an upgrade in our room, ending up with an amazing view! The breakfasts were all lovely and made on the spot — super fresh.

The location is quite remote, which means you’ll take tuktuks most days.

Very pretty place out of the mess of Kendy city but still close to the center (30min walk) with very nice view and even better hosts. We had one of the best (if not the best) traditional food here. In the room, there is a kettle and some tea. Overall probably the best accomodation we had in Sri Lanka.

Very frendly family! Nice house. Quiet place. Lots of greenery and flowers. There is a small garden with a pond.Very tasty breakfast. There is a large supermarket nearby.
