High Falls Bay Cottages, Camping & Waterpark

The location is close to downtown, stores/gas station etc right off the highway. The sounds of the waterfall and the sandy beach was really nice. The outlook grill is a little cantine on the premise run by Johnny who makes delicious burgers from scratch, fries were tasty and he had gf gravy for poutine! He was friendly and polite and wore gloves when handling the meat - a huge plus to see cleanliness after seeing the condition of our room when we checked in. The patio with small table outside and newly changed out bbq with propane was a great spot to sit and enjoy the weather, outdoor lunches and dinners. Great job on updating those !

We checked and went to our room - the room appeared ready, until we looked into the microwave drawers and pulled the comforter back. Utensils were in the drawer dirty same with some of the dishes, the microwave was greasy with prior use, floors were unswept in the bathroom and the bedding was dirty, they had stained and crumbs like tortillas/tostitoes clearly slept in and unchanged (and yes some fuzzies from the one extra blanket). We went back to front desk they said they must have made a mistake and would remake the room so we gave them an hour went into town and the checked out the campground. We came back and once again went back into the room. It smelled cleaner, microwave was attended too and beds were ‘made’. When I pulled back the comforter again it was the EXACT SAME sheets with same stains from before. They never changed the sheets. When I reapproached Amy she was irritated told me her daughter was the cleaner and said well I’m heading home so you can go to the office and deal with Erin. Erin assured me she watched her make the beds but then I informed her they were the same stained sheets and had not been changed. She said ‘I’m not sure what you want me to do, I watched her make the beds” I said - provide clean sheets for a 630$ stay for three nights the least you could is provide clean bedding. She then handed me the sheets and I changed my own beddings. The mattresses were like box springs. But apparently they changed them in the huts, and chalets and motel rooms are next. So maybe they will update them soon. Made for a rough start to our stay. Other renters of the motel rooms had similar experiences, a guest left before they reservation ended, another said she slept on their sleeping bags and washed their own floors because they had ants etc. Thankfully we had no bugs. I cleaned the pool using the net a few times before dipping in, with such hot days it was refreshing to go in a cold pool. Definitely not outdoor heated pool.

What the resort lacked was a cleaner room and more comfortable bed, but the amenities and everything that was included made up for it. The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful!!! We are going back for sure!

Problem with our cottage rental so they upgraded us with a better facilities was absolutly at our disposal. Excellent service

It was such a new area. There were no stairs to the beach, pretty steep hill to climb up

The place is run down, too far to walk to beach, treacherous path, construction vehicles, you have to slide down a hill to get to beach not easily accessible.
