It’s beautiful and the staff are amazing

Great location and plenty of facilities to do activities

The prices for basic items were verging on obscene. The gala dinner for NYE (which was mandatory and you’re only told after you book was US$600 per person not including alcohol. The central pool is very small and even though it’s an adult island, kids are permitted from the nearby other Anantara.

All the staff were so friendly and helpful, with special thanks to our lovely host Ibu who took such great care of us. He booked all our meals and activities, and was always available with a buggy as I wasn’t able to walk far. Both our rooms (a deluxe overwater villa and an overwater villa) felt new, were beautifully positioned, and designed to a high specification. We enjoyed a generous à la carte breakfast each morning overlooking the ocean, and there was a good variety of restaurants available. We particularly loved the teppanyaki at the Japanese restaurant, and the exceptional food and ambience at a sake tasting menu event on beach, held in a beautifully lit gazebo constructed just for the evening. We travelled with our two adult children and they were able to accommodate a single bed in their villa. With Aqua Fanatics, we enjoyed the sunset dolphin cruise, "fishtank" snorkelling, parasailing, and diving with nurse sharks - all truly unforgettable experiences. We only wish we’d had more time to do the dolphin snorkelling too! There were also lovely, thoughtful details like the complimentary flip-flops that left a little shark image in the sand when you walked. Thank you to all the staff for making this such a special and memorable holiday. We genuinely couldn’t have enjoyed it more.

Absolutely nothing!

To start of, the staff were absolutely amazing! They were very helpful, responsive and they truly made our stay memorable, specially Joelle she was incredible! We were celebrating our birthday there and they went out of their way to decorate for us and give us a cake, so sweet of them. The resort was super beautiful, and the overwater villa was exceptional, every single amenity you can think of was in the room, nothing was missing. We were very impressed. There’s also plenty of restaurants to choose from and the food was good. We loved the variety of the breakfast buffet and the Christmas party buffet was incredible - nothing like I’ve seen before. Everything was super clean and well maintained and it only took us 30 minutes to reach from the airport to the resort by speed boat. Also the fact that we had access to the other Anantara resort made it more fun for us to explore around the islands.

The only thing we didn’t like is we booked the Adults only resort, meanwhile plenty of the festive activities on the island connected to the other resort which is more for families so we did see children roaming around or attending the festive events taking place which we did not expect considering we booked adults only but either way, it did not really ruin the experience, just a watch out.
