Santa Marina Holiday Village

We returned from Santa Marina a couple of days ago, and we enjoyed every day of our stay. We absolutely loved the overall aesthetics of the village, including the beautiful alleyways, the lush vegetation, and the wonderful pools. Our room had an amazing terrace with a gorgeous view of the sea. I know some guests mentioned the long distances to walk from one place to another within the village, but we liked it. The old town of Sozopol is literally 15 minutes away on foot from the Viva Mare restaurant in the southern part of the village. In the northern part, there are public beaches, which are great. Other things worth mentioning are Arkutino Beach, which is about a 10-minute drive away, and the Ravadinovo Castle. We will definitely return for another vacation!

One thing I hope will be improved in the future is the parking, even though we opted for the paid option (they will give you a key to lock your spot if you are away)

The resort is on a steep hill and totally unsuitable if you have a pram. The lift to the beach was not working, so we couldn’t even go. Our room was next to the laundry and had zero nice touches. Our toilet flush was broken. Parking was extra cost and really inconvenient as a way away and you have to lock and unlock the space. The outdoor lighting by us did not work meaning it was pitch black and dangerous leaving our room in the dark. I fell once. Would not stay here again.

Lots of pools, apartments were OK.

That you had to pay for everything except pool - parking, gym, soccer, beach seats, tennis etc. Restaurants and shops were very expensive and not great.

Booking не дава информация, че почистват стаите на три дни!!! Това включва смяна на кърпи и изхвърляне на отпадъци!!! Имайте го предвид, като отсядате в апартаментите. Ние бяхме в апартамент 33, къща 105. Супер старо обзавеждане от поне 15г. Куфарите ни стояха отворени на земята, защото имаше мини гардероб в хола за пет дрехи на закачалка и супер гнусен скрин в спалнята, в който няма начин да си оставите дрехите. Комарници нямаше. Следи от убити комари, обаче имаше.

Pools were nice. Apartment was spacious and comfortable. A/C worked well. On-site stores were nice.

No counter space and stovetop would beep if you put anything on it. Check-in there was a line and you had to wait 20+ minutes. Paid parking is tiny. Very hilly. Not good for someone with more limited mobility. You have to pay for beach chairs. Restaurants were expensive.
