If you’re looking for somewhere quiet, tidy and low-key, this place ticks a few boxes… The positives first, because there are several. The location is peaceful, with a small local market and basic food options nearby, which is handy if you don’t feel like driving far for essentials. The gardens are well maintained, the pools look inviting, and the overall grounds are tidy and pleasant. There is onsite parking, which is a bonus, although be warned, it is very tight. Anything larger than a small car will require patience, spatial awareness and possibly a deep breath. The apartment itself had clearly been recently renovated, though to a very basic standard. Clean and functional, yes, but with some quirks. The lack of bathroom ventilation and the absence of a door on the ensuite made for an experience that was, at times, more “open plan” than one might prefer. That said, it’s only a two-minute walk to the water, even if it’s not really a swimming spot.

Now, the less delightful bits. Bedding was… an adventure. An incredibly hard double bed....(not Queen!) Only sheets were on the bed and a scanty rug approx 1m wide available, Found covers on spare single beds but no actual duvets in sight. This resulted in a very cold first night. Day two became a scavenger hunt, eventually locating a spare blanket hidden in a wardrobe in the spare room. Bonus challenge: the wardrobe doors were off their runners, making access feel like a mild upper-body workout. Service-wise, this is very much a self-serve experience. Despite arriving on a Saturday for a stay through to Monday, there was no human reception available over the weekend. We did receive an SMS on arrival at 2pm Saturday asking us to come and complete paperwork the following morning… except no one was there. We checked out at the prescribed 10am on Monday and, once again, no staff in sight. If you enjoy independence, this may suit you perfectly. In terms of value, it’s worth considering what you want from your stay. If your plan is to visit beaches, Surfers Paradise or attend events, be prepared to drive. Public transport options are limited, and there’s no nearby tram. Once you factor in parking fees, Ubers or travel time, you may find that your money could be better spent on an apartment closer to town.

I like everything about this, the pool was the highlight for my grand children, close to shops & parks, location was perfect, the apartment overall was just perfect, I have already recommended this stay to family & friends

Room 53 curtains were full of mould pillow cases full of mould all furniture outdated kitchen cupboard draws you couldn’t open

The apartment needs an upgrade on tv remotes for air con pans pots etc
