I had a wonderful stay at Chimneys Nuwara Eliya and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Nuwara Eliya in future. The property is designed in an old-English architectural style, which gives a unique and cozy atmosphere. The interiors are beautifully decorated, keeping the classic feel. The gardens are absolutely stunning its was well maintained, peaceful, and filled with beautiful flowers that are perfect for photos. For breakfast, they offered a great variety of options. I requested an English breakfast, and it was prepared perfectly fresh, tasty, and very satisfying and they have a best cookies and cakes. The dining experience was a real highlight of the stay. The staff deserve a special mention. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always greeted us with genuine smiles. Their hospitality made us feel so comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay. Overall, Chimneys Nuwara Eliya combines beautiful surroundings, delicious food, and warm hospitality in the most perfect way. I truly enjoyed my time here and am already looking forward to visiting again.

Property itself was lovely. Facilities and rooms were clean. The room was comfortable.

The service was atrocious. Check in: We arrived at 17:30, the staff looked confused to see us (despite having a record of our reservation printed on their desk) and the check in process took a while. Dinner: Once we were shown to our room, someone knocked on our door and asked if we were having dinner at the hotel. We said yes, and he handed us a menu and asked we order by 8pm, also noting they had no beef that evening. After deliberating for 10 mins we headed to the restaurant, took our seats, and placed our orders. As we took our seats, we were informed that the hotel had no drinks that evening, only offering 3 different soft drinks and water. Then the waiter returned with our drinks, told us the food we ordered wasn’t available and they were operating with a limited menu of about 5 items. Once we placed our revised orders, our waiter then told us it would be a 90 minute wait till we get our food (this didn’t make a lot of sense as we were the only guests in the dining room at the time). Once the food eventually came it was tasty, but taste alone couldn’t compensate for the experience!

Amazing stay. Lovely cottage like feeling. Very helpful staff. Manager suranjit was very helpful The chef also was very nice to us and made food as we requested. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Outdoor area is good. Location is also very near to the lake. We all loved it.

Rooms availability on booking.com was not accurate and also there marketing person didn't give us proper information.
