"A warm and cozy stay filled with kindness, comfort, and genuine hospitality."

We arrived early in the morning, and even though it wasn’t check-in time, the staff kindly welcomed the three of us and let us settle into our room at 9 a.m. They even offered us tea and cake upon arrival, which was such a lovely gesture. In the evening, they lit the chimney for us and served tea again—without charging us! The staff were truly amazing—warm, attentive, and always smiling. The place is spotless, the garden is beautiful (though we couldn’t enjoy it much because of the cold), and the room was spacious and very comfortable. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for genuine hospitality and cozy vibes.

"Beautiful historic property"

Amazing property with a lot of history. My husband lived the library of books. Staff were so welcoming & we also got tea and cake on arrival!

The location is a little outside of the town so needed to get a tuk tuk in.

"Relaxing hotel in the heart of Nuwara Eliya"

The staff at Chimneys really make this place! Exceptional service and attention to detail. The rooms are a generous size and provide a lovely view of the gardens. The ground are also well kept and all food is delicious! Especially the curries!

"Ottimo soggiorno in residenza coloniale"

Bellissimo hotel in stile britannico tra le colline di Nuwara Eliya, la struttura è nuova, impeccabile e pulitissima, e lo staff preciso. La camera era molto grande e il letto incredibilmente comodo. L'accoglienza è stata molto bella con una tazza di te e alcuni dolcetti offerti. Il servizio ristorante mi ha stupito con piatti tipici inglesi :)

Peccato per la posizione della mia camera, affacciata sull’ingresso dell’hotel: per mantenere la privacy ho dovuto tenere le tende abbassate, con un ambiente quindi un po’ buio. La camera non è perfettamente insonorizzata, quindi le conversazioni o i passi di altri ospiti nel corridoio possono talvolta disturbare il riposo.
