Shared bathroom with men and women!

I went there for peace and solitude. And I got exactly that.

The staff could have been friendlier. But not a deterrent. And I’m not a fan of a shared bathroom but also not a deterrent. I would go back.

Loved the rustic old-Maine feel Caretaker Dawn was a classic old-school caretaker, super nice, fun to talk to

This was a fun overnight adventure! Everything was exactly as stated. Close enough to the city to work and far enough to give you a bit of a break.

It was so lovely. The island setting, the crash of the ocean outside our window. The big porch with rocking chairs. The staff was very personable. I am telling all who will listen to go!

It was right on the ocean so the view was nice.

Parts of the ceiling were missing, the flooring was extremely old linoleum that was fragmented and nailed to the hallway floor. The front stairs were slanted down hill and had no railing. The rooms were spartan and the bedding was old and uninviting. There was a rusty box fan in the window for air circulation. The doors had programmable locks that didn't work. The hostess/manager had no front desk. She sat behind folding tables stacked with clutter and was drinking a can of beer. This place did not match the descriptions, nor the pictures. It was such a disgusting and gross misrepresentation that, although we had paid in full for two nights, we left within an hour and stayed elsewhere for the two days.

Is there something better than five star?

Location was amazing….facility was fascinating…..

Squeaky bed and floor….price was high for the mattress, etc.
