West Cliffs Ocean and Golf Resort

The views towards the sea were excellent and the Boca beach restaurant was excellent (strangely not recommended by the resort!). Golf course design was good.

The resort staff were cool but the Golf Course staff apart from the very jolly Caddies who seem to work hard and do know how to make guests feel at home. They were all quite serious and did not look like they enjoyed working there at all. The first night was in a ‘Townhouse’ which was surrounded by multiple construction sites in a barren, dusty, isolated and deserted part of the resort. One of our children likened it (in an unflattering way) to ‘Dubai’ - when they were woken up to the sound of pneumatic drills and construction vehicles and piles of aggregate on the road outside our window. The resort management relocated us after we pointed out the obvious issues (despite them saying this wasn’t possible earlier), but then had the nerve to charge us an 'upgrade fee' for the smaller property we moved into (albeit it did have a small plunge pool). They did not make any of this clear to us when we booked - how can they think people would not see this as an issue when they are paying for a 5 Star resort? It completely beggars belief! Also, we went to book the tennis court but were told that 1 of their 2 tennis rackets was damaged, so tennis was not available. What '5 Star' multi-million pound resort only has 2 tennis rackets? FFS Twice when we entered the office area, reception staff were sitting on their mobile phones, which were quickly hidden. After we settled the bill in the reception office and left, they had the nerve to email us to say they had undercharged us!

Sijainti rannikolla piti lämpötilan näin kesällä noin 10 astetta viileämpänä päivällä kuin muutama kilometri sisämaassa. Erinomaiset rannat ja golfkenttä. Käytössä oli kaksi uima-allasta. Hienot näkymät merelle. Meitä oli matkassa perhe, 5 henkilöä. Kolmen makuuhuoneen asunto oli tarpeisiimme juuri sopiva. Erinomainen keittiö, hyvät ruuanvalmistusmahdollisuudet ja mukava ruokailutila.

Local incrível. Villa de 3 quartos muito bem equipada. Decoração ótima e a zona exterior com tudo impecável. Piscina ótima. Muito sossego. Quando o tempo não ajuda para usufruir da piscina há caminhos dentro do resort para caminhadas até a praia.

Achtung: Baustelle. Sie leben auf einer Baustelle mit Lärmbelästigung von 7:00-16:30 Uhr täglich. Direkt gegenüber werden Häuser neu erbaut. Ca. 30 Bauarbeiter, Kran, Baufahrzeuge und Maschinen sind permanent im Einsatz. Trotz Kontaktaufnahme zu booking habe ich keine Antwort erhalten und für dieses Haus 550 Euro pro Nacht gezahlt. Aktuell ist es unverschämt, dort Häuser zu vermieten und die Urlauber für viel Geld auf einer Baustelle wohnen zu lassen. In der Beschreibung wird davon NICHTS erwähnt!!!
