The beds are too hard! And internet weak.

We loved our stay at Windermere. The staff were so helpful, helping us to decide what activities to do. The hotel also put on a few activities which was really nice. Bedrooms were super clean and food was great. Would definitely stay again.

Extremely welcoming and relaxed atmosphere with very friendly and attentive staff yet not intrusive. Great locally sourced food. The guides on the walks were trained knowledgable naturalists eager to share. Comfortable spacious room.

The location is outstanding, but the staff were what sold it for us - friendly, caring, attentive and smiles all round. They went above and beyond to help where needed. Thank you to everyone who assisted or served us

The rooms I think could do with a touch up - they are a little dated and miss some key things (soft towels, more hangers, better products in bathrooms) which is what you’d expect for what you pay for the rooms. The work is very bad in the rooms. You can only really use the internet in reception or eating area.

Magical place in a breathtaking location. Really welcoming and helpful staff who seemed to love their jobs. The room was beautiful, felt a little like stepping back in time with lots of period features. Great commitment to not having unnecessary plastic etc as well. Would really love to come back.

The car journey up the hills to reach this place is one to pack your travel-sickness medication for, but the incredible views are worth the effort.

We had a perfect stay. The location is tranquil and staff so lovely. The food was amazing and we especially loved the afternoon coffee and bakes. Would highly highly recommend.
