Staff were fabulous and could not have done more to assist in all matters

Rooms need updated. Not as clean as I would have liked. So isolated that you have to eat at hotel but it was a fixed menu.

Sweet location and staff

Great location amongst the tea plantations. Food and food service was exceptional. The bird watching and 2hr plantation walks were a highlight by very knowledgeable naturalists. A little expensive by Indian standards and room cleaning service was a little slack but otherwise well worth the stay.

Everyone at the resort did their best to make our stay as great as possible. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. The food was delicious and we missed nothing. I highly recommend going bird watching and the hike with the local ranger. Don’t miss the yoga class in the afternoon. If you want, you also get help in coordinating your visits in the area, such as: - getting the perfect driver ( car or rikscha) - visiting a tea factory, a clothing or paper manufacturer and - stroll through a tea garden. I am a frequent traveler in India. The Windermere Estate became one of my top 10 locations to stay.

Everything about this place is wonderful. It's high in the hills, surrounded by tea and cardamom plantations. There is birdsong everywhere and the resident naturalist Medha took us on superb nature and birdwatching walks. She was super - knowledgeable and lovely. Jacob looked after us extremely well, and supported us through my husband's unexpected admission to hospital in Munnar. We couldn't have navigated it all without him and we'll be forever grateful. The pool, the food, all the staff and the surroundings make this a little piece of heaven. We will return.

The staff were lovely and charming. The room was spacious. The location was beautiful

The mattresses were very hard, we had a view of a building site neighboured by a very large hotel with bright lights which obstructed our view of the valley. The road beneath our room was noisy at night. The swimming pool was beautifully located but there were only 2 sunbeds amongst all of the guests.
