Do not stay here, we nearly checked out on arrival and I wish we did. The whole vibe was off- it felt abandoned there was hardly any staff or other customers as others have suggested I feel alot of the reviews must be fake. Nothing was maintained well the “games area” left alot to be desired. The gym is the worst hotel gym I have ever seen- none of the machines worked and it was so dirty. After travelling India for 3 weeks this is the worst hotel we stayed in by far and I’m comparing to ones at a fifth of the price. One of the main reasons I booked the hotel was because of the pool- I did not get in once it was absolutely disgusting there were so many leaves not only on the top but on the bottom along with rocks, bugs and mould. There were loose wires where lights had been and the one light that was left was hanging open. It felt very unsafe. I honestly don’t think it had been cleaned in months. I was gutted about this after seeing the pictures. I was not expecting a 5 star hotel compared to western standards but after staying at another 5 star in Munnar (blanket) I would say this is a 1/2 star. As for the staff- some of the most unfriendly people I have come across, they would not smile as you walked past. When we told them our concerns they just said “ok” asif they are used to it. Also the location is not ideal- you are far from anywhere (on terrible roads) which could be part of the charm however they don’t sell enough food/drinks. I asked for a sprite and the only fizzy drink they had was pepsi or soda water and no cold ones. Please do not waste your time staying here
