Too many stairs,the sea pool was not clean

Our welcome greeting at the hotel after a long drive with our bags looked after and car parked for us was a great start! The room we were moved to had a fantastic view across the bay and was very comfortable. The hotel itself is genuinely beautiful, there's load of places to sit or to sunbathe, the private beach is very nice and the channel out into the sea is teaming with sea life and as such is incredible for snorkelling. One of the most beautiful hotels we've stayed in, with gorgeous lighting in the evenings that really makes it feel quite magical. Breakfast was also excellent with a lots of delicious food options. Staff wise all of the cleaning crew and maids we're very lovely, some of the front of house were very friendly and also some of beach and main bar staff were aswell.

We booked one of the higher end rooms, all the pictures showed wonderful views but unfortunately the room we were first put in was really lovely but it essenitially overlooked the taxi/coach drop off, credit to the team though we were moved to a better room with very little fuss but after a long trip to the hotel we had to wait some hours to view the room and then for it to be cleaned. We tried to get some drinks at the beach bar and had problems assigning them to our room we felt a bit like they didn't trust us! By the time we had moved we'd lost a chunk of the day and it meant we were late to dinner which unfortunately meant we had the misfortune of having to experience their evening buffet. I say this with no joy at all but the buffet expereince was one of the worst I have experienced in many many years of travelling. The staff in the restaurant seemed very worn out (perhaps understaffed) brought us the wrong drinks but worst of all was that flies had taken up residence in the salad bar, all of the meat and fish was cold and overcooked and the chef refused to do anything fresh for us and all of the dessert labels had been taken away so we had no idea what had geletin (my wife is pescetarian) so we didn't try any epsecially after one the staff got very angry with me for asking her to explain what things were. They refused to take this meal off of our bill becasue I had signed for it! A real shame as we'd planned to take most of our meals at the hotel and found ourselves driving into town each night instead. During the day the beach bar staff were regularly shouting at eachother angrily in greek, we had an evening drink one evening and one of the bar staff nealry pushed my wife off of the bridge connecting the bar to the seating area rushing past her, just not good vibes.

Bathtube, floors, bed is extremely dirty. They should check under the bed also ) it’s terrifying. Food is so so also, not fresh. Only reception guys are nice
