Dinuda Lagoon Hotel

The natural beauty of the place was breathtaking, with stunning views all around. Service was exceptional, Relaxing and secluded place. Tasty meals. we did canoeing and dolphin watching. Highly recommended for water activities.

nice place in perfect location. The food was really good, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Perfect spot for a fun day out with friends by the sea. Direct access to beach was very convenient. Rooms are top notch and couldn't believe the price vs the facilities.

The kitesurf school was very good. The instructor Safris was professional, supportive, and focused on real progression. I successfully completed my IKO certification during my stay. I appreciate the quality of the training. The lagoon location itself is great for beginners and improving skills. For kite training specifically, I can genuinely recommend the school.

I originally booked 22 nights but decided to shorten my stay to 5 nights due to ongoing renovation works taking place from early morning until evening. The constant construction noise made it very difficult to rest or focus, and this was not clearly communicated before arrival. I was also asked by the owner to cover the Booking.com commission fee. After discussion, I agreed to pay 50% (around 70 USD), but this left a very uncomfortable impression. Additionally, the overall atmosphere during my stay felt tense and under pressure. The management style did not give the impression that guest experience or staff well-being were a priority.

Breakfast was inedible, stale, cold, horrible. Food in general very poor. The wifi/electricity would go down often, sometime for several hours. Staff had to top up the Wifi as it wasn't unlimited. Several days without Wifi. The staff were rude and unhelpful which is unusual for Sri Lanka. I took some kitesurf lessons, was never provided IKO certificate, 12 hours lessons wasted. Kept promising me it was on its way. Never arrived. Would often wait more than an hour to get a drink after ordering 3 times

Excellent hospitality, Very friendly staff and good hygiene practices. Very good environment, it is a must visit hotel in kalpitiya. The staff is very friendly and they have arranged everything as per our requirements.

Beautiful base from which to visit all the wonderful sights in the area. Great after a long day out to be able to come back to the hotel. The staff were all polite and respectful. It is such a beautiful property nestled in lagoon area. the seafood was probably the best we had.

The whole relaxing vibe. Shout out for wasantha acting as concierge who was very helpful and welcoming, caring as well as service oriented. Breakfast and dinner was good. Highly recommend
