Avila's Horizon Dive Resort Malapascua

The resort is amazing. The best in Malapascua. Sea crystal clear, restaurant super good. Staff is super super friendly, and you feel really happy and cared. Super recommended

Everything. Considering the price, this is definitely one of our best stay in 25 years of traveling all around Asia. You have the best Malapascua beach just for you Staff is super friendly Small but very efficient dive center Food (local) is excellent and reasonably priced Rooms are comfy

Aircons are noisy but you cannot expect to have expensive split type aircon in a 40 USD room.

Avilas is on the best beach in Malapascua Very chill. The staff are all so friendly

The OWNER, EXTREMELY rude unhelpful unfriendly unwelcoming and zero clue how to provide customer service. The owner Avilla, was so disrespectful towards me and disgustingly rude, which made my decision to leave this resort after my first night's accommodation. They knew that they had treated me so badly, that they were willing to refund me the full amount for the accommodation. You have to pay for drinking filtered water. So basically if you have no cash on you, be prepared to stay dehydrated. Disgusting. The location is very far walking distance to everywhere. This resort is so expensive. A coconut alone just to drink costs 168 pesos. They shut you down when you're chatting and laughing with your friends, people complain, therefore it is definitely not a place to stay if you are wanting to enjoy your time with other travelers at your hostel which you've paid for. The aircon was apparently broken in my room therefore I had to use one fan, shared amongst 8 people in the dorm room- just imagine trying to sleep in that heat. Impossible! To rent snorkeling gear at the dive shop on-site is the most expensive in the whole of the Philippines. The beach lounger cushions are so filthy, stained with white & yellow marks. And most of all there is NO MARINE-LIFE off of the beach infront of the hostel, which is what they advertise to draw in guests to stay at this resort. I WOULD NOT recommend this place at all.
