Calanica Resort

We had a brilliant time at Calanica. The resort is located in the most beautiful hillside location with great access to a small private beach and spectacular views over the coastline with a stunning sunset. The bungalows have everything you need and are kept spotlessly clean by the brilliant staff. The breakfast was fantastic, we enjoyed a plentiful and wide range of foods both sweet and savoury, slightly changing daily allowing us to try different Sicilian foods. The drinks were great, as was our pizza we enjoyed by the beach, which were all so easy to order from the beachfront. From the hotel, it’s about a half hour walk into Cefalù town down the hill via a lovely seafront path, so not too far but allows you some separation from the busier areas of town. This is a gem of a resort and I recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing break in paradise. Beautiful location outside of Cefalu in a private bay. Super friendly and attentive service, good breakfast. We stayed in a private villa. The only problem we had was the soft mattress of our bed combined with a hard pillow - we forgot to ask for an alternative.

What a gem. We very much enjoyed the cute bungalow with an amazing view. We relaxed at the lounge area listening to the waves breaking at the rocks, how perfectly zen. Enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant and very impressed with the service all together. They just opened for the season but all was in order right away. A bit of a hike but if you are up for it, use the pathway directly to Cefalu, a good 20 minute walk (one way).
