Calanica Resort

The place was really clean and the personnel was helpful and nice. The private beach and bar was tidy and nice. We enjoyed staying here and the bungalow was peaceful. The distance to Cefalu city was more than 2 km. We recommend this place when going to Cefalu.

We arrived late at night not knowing what to expect but we we woke up and saw our view...unbelievable! We wandered down for breakfast and were greeted by their amazing staff. We could not believe our good fortune at stumbling on to this magical place. The rooms were SO well designed, the views were out of this world, the staff (especially Matteo...(the Johnny Depp of Sicily)and the whole resort were designed for providing their customers with the very BEST experience. Book it!! You will not regret it!!

The views and location.

The view from our room was incredible, the staff were wonderful and always helpful. The food quality at the restaurant was excellent and had a number of great options within walking distance too. The beach was perfect and had some great spots for snorkeling, kayaking and rock jumping. The pool was always sparsely populated as most were at the beach, so the kids were able to play in a giant pool mostly to themselves. A shout out to Nino at the restaurant and Elisa at the beach who made us very welcome.

The only negative was the steepness of the climb to get up to reception or to the pool. It's probably a good thing to burn off all the extra food we were eating, but I can imagine if you're not very mobile this would be a challenge. It also allows all the bungalows to have fantastic views as they each have their own cliff side spot.

The location is incredible. The bungalows have everything a hotel room has but with your own private terrace.

The resort was gorgeous. It is cliff side and the views are amazing. The little bungalows that you can stay in are very private and cosy. The staff was lovely and even though we were the only Americans there, most of the staff spoke english with us. It seemed like the staff also spoke french as there were a lot french guests. Everyone seemed to be friends at the resort, it seems like they have a lot of return guests. The sunsets were gorgeous. Definitely get to dinner early so you can enjoy the sunset while you eat.

There are a lot of stairs. Be prepared to go up and down stairs to get to everything. They do have golf carts to take people around too but they can't get to everything. The main town area is farther away than we realized, you will want to take a taxi or drive and park at a lot. It was too hot to try to walk 45 minutes or more into town.

Location in relation to Cefalu, nice room, proximity to the ocean.

The stuff is very helpful, I could recommend this hotel 100%, location, beach and the hotel itself are amazing. I e are very satisfied with everything.
