Staff were friendly and whilst Romena was about very helpful.Food was reasonable for the price and local food better than other items on menu. Breakfast was good and very flexible. Nice view of the lake. With investment this could be a lovely place.

Location on a busy road and need tuk tuk to beach. Sheets and towels need replacing. Whole complex is in need of a major revamp. We had a mouse in room which was very unpleasant and kept us awake at night. In fairness they did offer to move us and it was our decision to stay as we felt it might be a general problem.

- The staff is very friendly and always trying to do their best for you to have a nice stay. - The rooms are pretty big. Beds comfy. - The food is good, however clearly lacking variety. Although I thought there was a menu you could order from, it was explained to me that it was every night a buffet. I wouldn't say the buffet was crazy, and I don't wish to eat fish or the same plates every day. After mentioning this, I was asked my food preferences, to which they adapted - was much better - thank you. - There are tuk tuks just in front of the hotel, friendly and helpful - The hotel can help you arrange tours (I went dolphin watching) at reasonable prices - The view on the lagoon is nice. All rooms/balconies face it. - The garden in front of the hotel is pretty nice too

- It's *extremely* noisy. The hotel and all the rooms are less than 20 meters from the busy main road and 200m for the Mosque starting prayer at 5 am. I was not able to sleep without earplugs and even had to sometimes put earphones with music to cover the noise - Multiple stains on bed sheets and towels. Clearly not tolerable. - Room cleaning is done about every 4 days. I don't expect to have the room cleaned every day, but with all the bugs/ants/sand, it could make sense to clean the room more often. The new bed sheets didn't have stains on it, but although there was no more shampoo/shower gel/etc and toilet paper, none was added. I had to specifically ask for it. - The pool is also cleaned every 4-5 days. I had ear pain after the first swim but it then went better. You can see the water is not totally clear. There are leaves constantly in the pool and I had to clean the pool by myself (until the cleaning person realised and came to do it). - The showers are definitely not cleaned enough. I still had hair from previous guests... - On January 1st the staff had a party in their area - I don't mind but the music was very loud and I had to ask to bring it down (which was done immediately) - Don't expect much proactivity - you basically have to ask for everything - Forget about the sunbeds in the pictures. There is only one left, it's broken and missing half of the wood parts. There is no mattress or cushions for it, although they did the effort of taking cushions from the restaurant chairs to put them on it so I could rest on it... but the other parts will probably be broken in the next days

The breakfast was professionally packed in boxes. This was made ready quite early in the morning for an early departure. The staff specially Gagana and Imesha were very helpful. The food was excellent throughout our stay

Toilets need more attention

The hotel is nicely located at a lagoon. It looks very nice on the first glance. Dinner was okay and the local breakfast was good.

The staff was somewhat surprised that we arrived. They didn’t explain anything about the property to us, for instance, how the half board meals would work and how to access the WiFi. We had no water in our room and had to proactively ask for everything. The room was dirty, we had spider nets on the bed posts, the bathroom had a very unpleasant smell and the bed sheets were dirty (multiple stains and hair).
