ES Deurali Resort

Just 40 minutes from Pokhara on pretty good roads considering the climb, Club Es Deurali offers a great place to stay, tremendous views of Fishtail and many peaks in the Annapurna range, good food, comfortable accommodation, great terrace and “Clubhouse” style restaurant. The staff is knowledgeable and accommodating, with dad having climbed Everest twice and many other peaks as well. It was a totally peaceful, enjoyable and relaxing stay at about 1800 metres. Highly recommended for a stay or a short visit.

Good hot water but shower in tub without a curtain

I am not one to gush on about hotels (read my other reviews) but this place is AMAZING. The food is mediocre, the rooms are basic, and it is literally in the middle of nowhere BUT it is still one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed. You are in the middle of an amphitheater formed by the Annapurna Range. The views (and you need to wake up at sunrise to see them) are INCREDIBLE. Shocking, stunning, jaw-droppingly beautiful. A second reason to stay here is the lovely Gelmu Sherpa. She exudes this lovely warmth and kindness that makes every interaction a joy. We seriously considered kidnapping her and bringing her home with us. IF you are trekking and can plan this as a last stop before you arrive in Pokhara (or a first stop when you are leaving) that would be wonderful. It's worth a visit.

The rooms were very basic and the amenities were also but this is what I expected so it wasn't any problem. It's not a Hilton. What it lacks in luxury it more than makes up for in charm and uniqueness.

Nature, fresh air.

It's a home that has been converted into resort. Location - Too far from city 20km Temperature - Very cold Facilities - Gas water heater which is not that much useful+ no jet on toilet seat, room heater is quite small doesn't heat up the room. Food - Freshly made food but sometimes vegetables are raw/ uncooked. Travel- no taxies available at the location and if wanna go to lake/city drives charges 2500 NPR of one side. Others - No adventure activities to do, except sit and watch Annapurna range. Hiking is there but its based on personal fitness and a guide is required that is chargeable.

Excellent location and staff. Overall service was great. They take care of all your needs and fulfill any of your requests to the best of their abilities. The location is very scenic.

The rooms are a little dated and slight upgradation would make it almost a 5 star property. Very clean rooms though and prompt service. Food is excellent if you are staying 1-2 days but if more than that some variety can be added.

Bed, room was cold. Room heater not enough

Food served at restaurant was OK, but lessened our overall rating of this property.

Great view of the mountains and fields from both the room and the sitting area outside. I could stare at the mountains all day long. Very peaceful. Friendly staff. People in the area where nice too, gave me directions when i wanted to go to Kaskikot Palace. This place was recommended to me by a traveler i met in Kathmandu and it did not disappoint.

The stairs to the resort but that is just a personal thing. There is a trail that goes to the resort too, which is thought was easier.

One of the best experience you can have. The place is at a great location. The people who run the place are beyond amazing and helpful. Good food and drinks. A total package.
