Salalah Rotana Resort

I’ve put quite a few feedbacks about Rotana Salalah for the last few years - always 5 star experiences. And although one could argue it’s pointless to write again about a high level of comfort,great food and endless white beaches of the Arabian Sea this time I'd like to focus on the Beach Restaurant and its manager Ms. Bindu. The restaurant serves tasty and fresh meals sometimes coming directly from the Ocean. Even though the place can be quite busy at times, Ms. Bindu takes good care of all guests,always smiling and being very attentive. She is one of the reasons we keep coming back to Rotana Salalah :)

The hotel is very comfortable, its location right by the beautiful white sandy beach and the warm waters of the Indian Ocean just unbelievable. The hotel's staff is friendly and helpful. Specifically,we would to express our special thanks to Ms. Bindu of the Rotana Club Beach Restaurant - the most caring and kindest person making every minute there a special experience. We will be coming back to Rotana Salalah next year!

Der Strand ist wunderschön und sauber. Man hat sehr viel Platz und Abstand zum nächsten Sonnenschirm. Der Pool hat drei Teile. Zudem gibt es noch einen kleinen Pool für ganz kleine Kinder. Einmal sind Delfine vorbeigeschwommen. Man kann fast den ganzen Tag etwas essen. Es gibt das normale Frühstück im Restaurant und ein späteres Frühstück im Beach Restaurant. Später gibt es fünf Cabanas, die verschiedene Dinge wie Früchte, Eis, Hamburger etc. anbieten. Zudem gibt es am Nachmittag einen Popcorn-Stand und zwei andere Stände mit Esswaren wie z.B. Maiskolben. Das Bett fand ich sehr bequem.

Leider geben die Fotos auf booking.com nicht die wirkliche Aussicht wieder. Ich hatte ein Zimmer mit Meerblick gebucht, habe das Meer aber wirklich nur von weitem gesehen. Mein Zimmer war direkt über dem Pool. Auf Nachfrage hat man mir gesagt, dass das Foto die Aussicht der Ocean View Villas sei. Ich habe zwar angeblich ein Upgrade auf ein Familienzimmer bekommen, aber mein Balkon war sehr klein; neben dem Tisch und Sessel war kein Platz mehr. Das scheint mir für ein Familienzimmer unpassend. Ich hatte um ein ruhiges Zimmer im Erdgeschoss oder ersten Stock gebeten und habe ein Zimmer im zweiten (obersten) Stock bekommen. Abends war es meistens laut, teilweise bis nach 00.00 Uhr, weil es praktisch jeden Abend irgendwo Musik gibt. Wer Ruhe möchte, sollte nicht im Komplex 3 oder 4 untergebracht werden. Wir hatten jeden Tag starken Wellengang, sodass ich nicht schnorcheln konnte. Ich weiss aber auch nicht, ob es überhaupt etwas zu sehen gegeben hätte. Obwohl das Frühstück ab 7.00 Uhr war, waren die Tische oft bis 7.15 Uhr nicht gedeckt. Ich finde die Auswahl beim Essen zu klein im Vergleich mit 5-Stern-Hotels in Ägypten. Bei diesem Hotel gibt es zwei Arten von All Inclusive; das normale und dann noch Premium All Inclusive. Das fand ich recht doof und scheint mir ein Trick zu sein, um noch mehr Geld zu machen. Ich hatte statt einer Dusche eine Badewanne, was sehr unangenehm ist, da ich Rückenprobleme habe und mir das Ein- und Aussteigen daher Mühe bereitet hat.

We really enjoyed our time at Rotana, which was only 30 minutes away from the Salalah airport. From restaurant staff to hotel porters and from reception to cleaning staff, everyone was approachable and friendly. Thank you to Razem for cleaning our room and to the reception staff for changing our room after we requested it. The resort was beautiful and clean.

We were club restaurant for 1 week that was fantastic ,we enjoy a lot ,everyone is kind specilly ashraf great service lulu ,bindu ,florance ,snow ,nia also best servic ever ,we had lobster from chef ajay just woow thanks kitchen team ,everyone thank you so much ,i will recommand to eveyone visit club rotana best service ,best management , best food We will back sooner

This was our second time as premium guests at the Rotana Resort. This part of Oman's coastline is a wonderful place at this time of year, offering a pleasant summer atmosphere if you are looking for rest and relaxation. The service is very attentive, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The staff are attentive and helpful in all areas. Special thanks to the guest relationship managers, Sammy and Rulaa, but I must also mention Ashraf Uddin and his colleagues (many hard-working female colleagues) at the Rotana Club restaurant, as well as the chefs who are very skilled in international cuisine and who prepares the meal on the plates.
