What impressed me most about Panhou wasn't the luxury, but the sincerity. The staff, mostly locals, may not have much experience, but they were very honest, sharing their stories and genuinely enjoying their work. The food was fresh and flavorful. I will never forget my experience at Panhou.

After a week in Panhou, I understand why so many reviews praise this place for its warmth. The mountains seem to embrace you, and the people here make you feel like part of their family. The staff always smile and greet you, asking if you enjoyed the food, if you slept well, if youe legs were tired from walking… They care about the smallest details. I was also particularly impressed with the herbal bath service; it was very relaxing.

Staying at Panhou Retreat, I felt like I had stepped into a different rhythm of life – slow, gentle, and close to nature. Each morning began with the sound of birdsong and the aroma of herbs in the garden. I participated in a cooking class, strolled through the terraced rice fields, and ended the day by the pool. This place is not just a resort, but also a place where you can slow down.

The staff shared that the room's interior was recycled from old wooden ships, which was surprisingly sustainable and also gave it a very cozy feel. The evenings were quiet, and I slept very well. There was no Wi-Fi, but it was acceptable..

Panhou is very quiet, perfect for reading and resting. At night, the sound of insects and forest wind is calming. Guests used to lively places may find it too quiet.

Delicious food, comfortable beds, I was truly impressed with the trekking trip. The guide shared so much about everything we encountered along the way. From the types of trees, the houses of the local people, to stories about the culture of the Dao people… it was very interesting.

One of the most memorable parts of our journey was the kindness of everyone around us. The resort team, our trekking guide, and even locals along the way would smile and say hello whenever they saw us. It made us feel instantly comfortable and welcome. There was a sense of genuine friendliness that you don’t always find while traveling. It wasn’t just about visiting a destination—it felt like we were connecting with the people as well. That human touch made the whole experience more special. It’s something we’ll remember long after the trip.
