Panhou Retreat

The weather in the mountains is cool, especially pleasant in the early morning. It gets a bit chilly in the evening, so you need to bring warm clothes. The room is comfortable, and the staff are friendly. I will return if I come to Vietnam again.

We really enjoyed the trekking activities, with peaceful trails and beautiful scenery. Staff were helpful and gave good route suggestions. The weather changes quickly, so warm clothes are recommended.

I was very impressed when the staff shared that each booking directly contributes to the “Panhou Sustainable Development Fund.” This fund supports forest protection, local economic development, vocational training for the people, waste collection projects, and the preservation of Dao culture. This is a very humane initiative, and I felt I was contributing to the community while traveling, so I had to write this review immediately, hoping that many more people like me will choose to stay at Panhou. Absolutely wonderful.

We picked vegetables from the garden, ground our own spices, and were guided by the chef on how to prepare local dishes, which was very interesting. This was my first time in Vietnam, but surprisingly, the food suited my taste so well that I didn't need to use the pre-prepared food.

Panhou truly feels like a hidden escape from the outside world, calm and refreshing. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and cozy, with beautiful forest views. The pool is stunning, though the opening hours could be more flexible.

There are many activities to experience and explore. Painting on dó paper – a traditional Vietnamese paper, weaving, wood carving, and even classes in cooking local dishes. My family participates in almost all cultural activities, which helps my children gain more knowledge and experience.

The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. Everything was handled smoothly and kindly. Wi-Fi in the rooms was a bit weak, but it didn’t affect the stay much.
