Althea Village - Family Hotel

Kiva hotelli rakennuksena, huoneessa oli mukavasti tilaa (meidän huone oli tien toisella puolella, en tiedä miten se kylän malliin rakennettu). Kivat pikku kujat ja hienosti hoidettu puutarha, puita ja kukkia kaikkialla. Henkilökunta oli ystävällinen ja heti valmis auttaa. Altaita myös riitti joka makuun. Hyvin ohjelmaa ja aktiviteetteja melkein koko päivä lapsille ja vanhemmillekin. Paikkana ihan ok ainakin meille kun oltiin vuokra-autolla ja päästiin Haniaan keskustaan ja vanhaan kaupunkiin.

Ensimmäistä kertaa päätettiin kokeilla all inclusive vaihtoehtoa ja pitää myöntää että oli viimeinen kertaa. Ensimmäiseksi ruoka oli 90% prosessoitua ja pelkkää hiilihydraatteja. Kreeta on tunnettu hyvistä perinteisistä ruoista mutta sellaista ei hotellista saatu. Syötiin kaksi aamiaista ja yksi illallinen ainostaan hotellissa, muuten jouduttiin lähtee muualle syömään. Se vähän harmitti kun mietti mitä viikosta maksettiin ja mitä loppujen lopuksi saatiin. Toinen asia oli että huoneessa käytiin kaksi kertaa ilman lupaa kun emme itse ollu paikalla, joku lappu piti toimittaa ja viinipullo. Olisivat voineet kommunikoida asiasta ennen kun omin luvin huoneeseen tulee. Ilmastointi oli erikoinen kun joko se oli päällä ja viilensi mut piti hirveetä meteliä tai oli pois päältä ja kreikan kesän kuumuudessa ei pysty nukkuu.

All staff very friendly and welcoming. Very clean everywhere Food was delicious. Maintenance man responded very quickly when there was an issue Close to a beach

Delicious food locally sourced, excellent service friendly staff, clean, sustainability awards.😀 visit to Chaina is a must, such a pretty town.

Entertainment a little limited .

The staff were fantastic, the pool areas had plenty of space and kept very clean. The standout for us was the food - the quality was the best we’ve ever had with an all inclusive. The location was also great, close to local coffee shops, supermarket and tavernas and easy to get to the beach and Chania (a must visit! Busy but beautiful)

The alcohol options were poor - cocktails tasteless, watery beer and limited options of wine and spirits. No fresh mixers, everything was from a soda stream. Eg vodka orange was made with orange more like a cordial than juice. The other issue was the lack of aircon around the property, we had to keep going back to our room to cool down.

Great selection of food in defined sections so you know where to go for particular types. Self serve for soft drinks, beer and wine in the bar and restaurant which means you don't need to queue. There is also a snack and drink hut at the second pool. Pools were clean and it was fairly easy to get a sun lounger - some people did hog them from early on but there were always extras available. Staff were lovely and accommodating - we were not happy with one of our rooms as it was small. We were offered a 2 bed apartment as an alternative and it was much better. I would advise if there are 4 of you to get this rather than 2 rooms as it had 2 balconies and a roof terrace. Staff in the restaurant and bar were also lovely, as were the animation team who came round to speak to you. We were not at the main pool and did not take part in any activities but there were plenty on offer at the main pool. Lots of bars, cafes and supermarkets in the town which is only a 5 minute walk away. 10-15 min walk to the nearest beach and there are several to choose from as you go along the coast. Loads of car hire places. We got the bus to Chania which is absolutely beautiful. It left from near the BMW garage on the main street and was 1.20 per person. My husband and sons used the gym and said it was good for a weights workout.

I am happy with most wines but the wine wasn't the greatest and it was never cold. I always had to get a cup of ice and add it to the wine. Drank beer most of the time because of this. Very limited selection of cocktails included in the All Inclusive, which seems strange. All Inclusive finished at 11pm even though the bar did not close at this time - this is also a strange decision. Hotel details mention 2 restaurants - there is only 1 and a snack bar which serves gyros, chips, hot dogs etc.

Korzystałam z wielu hoteli ale ten skradł moje serce. Poprostu nie mam zadnych zastrzeżeń. Wręcz przeciwnie: z czystym sumieniem moge polecic ten hotel zwłaszcza dla rodzin z dziećmi. Personeł był zawsze gotowy by pomoc. Jedzenie przepyszne ,urozmaicone i dostępne praktycznie cały dzień. Nigdy nie było kolejek aby zająć stolik w jadalni . Pomimo obecnosci wielu gości nigdy nie odczułam tłoku czy to na jadalni czy na basenie. Zadbano takze o rozrywkę : były koncerty, muzyka na żywo, karaoke ,mecze pilki ręcznej w basenie. Personel zapoznał nas z opcją wycieczek i mozna bylo liczyć na wczesniejsze śniadanie,oraz lunch box. Moja rodzina a zwłaszcza wnuki byly tam przeszczęśliwe i nie chciały wracac nawet po 11 dniach pobytu.

Myślę co moglabym tu napisać i nie mogę znalezć niczegi co mi sie tam nie podobało.

Struttura nuova e tenuta benissimo. Pulizia accurata e offerta di buona varietà su piscine, giochi, fitness. Ottima distribuzione nella giornata per poter utilizzare l'all inclusive potendo andare in giro per spiagge (ad es. al di fuori dell'orario pranzo è aperto il "Souvlaki" per mangiare nel primo pomeriggio). Staff molto cordiale e rapido. Varietà e qualità del cibo in linea con le aspettative della clientela proveniente da tutta Europa (quindi da italiani non ci si può aspettare piatti dedicati). Soluzione super consigliata anche per la vicinanza alle strade di alta percorrenza per spostarsi nell'isola.

Quasi tutto perfetto, animazione troppo poco incisiva con i ragazzi, forse poca qualità nell'open bar con bevande un po' dozzinali e troppo poco pesce nell'offerta food, nella pulizia della piscina piccola (dove stavamo noi) a fine giornata. Ma sono piccoli dettagli rispetto all'ottimo rapporto prezzo-qualità.
