Munroe Island Lake Resort

Dear Booking.com Support Team, I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding a recent experience with a booking made through your platform. I had booked a stay at Munroe Island Lake Resort for my family. However, just one day before our scheduled arrival, the hotel manager contacted me and informed me that our booking was not confirmed. This came as a shock, especially since we had received confirmation from your platform and had made all necessary arrangements based on that. To make matters worse, I later noticed that the resort had accepted other bookings at a higher price, clearly indicating that our reservation was deliberately canceled in favor of more profitable guests. The behavior of the manager was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful during our conversation. This incident not only caused significant inconvenience to my family but also reflected poorly on the reliability of Booking.com. I trusted your platform to ensure a hassle-free booking experience, and unfortunately, this was not the case. I kindly request that you look into this matter seriously and take appropriate action against the property to prevent such incidents in the future. Very rude staff. Stale food. Blood stained bed sheets.

Great location, nice little room. Central for exploring island.

No swimming pool, it was advertised as having a pool for swimming. Cycle hire was also advertised, this was also non-existent.
