The hotel has a great view but the location was far from the city which makes it difficult if you dont have a car. The breakfast was good and it has pool table

The rooms, the towels were not clean. The beds and the pillows were not comfortable.

Such a tranquil location. If you are a nature lover or bird watcher, you will love this place. The views from the balconies over the river and into the trees are a bird watcher’s paradise with over 40 species of birds to thrill you. We saw two different types of eagle, kingfishers and several other birds which were too quick for us to recognise. Watching the fireflies at night was quite magical. The breakfasts were ample with lots of variety. The evening meals were a very good standard. The owners, Padmina and her husband were just so friendly and accommodating and all the staff were very helpful. They shifted the wi-go router to close your our rooms so that reception was better for us. Thoroughly enjoyed the / night stay we had at Kandy Rivers Edge.

Nothing to not like about the property.

The room was spacious with a lovely outlook onto the river. Exactly as advertised. The hotel was extremely good value for money. The staff were lovely and really helpful. They allowed us to do an early check in at no extra cost, and made us a pack up breakfast for our onward travel as we needed to leave early.

Location: We stayed in one of the river view room. Waking up to the singing of the birds and just stepping out to the balcony to see them is absolutely a brilliant experience. To someone who is into bird photography, this place is a heaven. The place is a about 15 mins drive away from the city centre away from the busy vehicle sound and air pollution. Room: the groom was spacious enough for a family of four with 2 big beds, Air conditioning, TV (I don’t think you need one when you have such beautiful scenery just outside). Everything in the room was clean. Facilities: there is bar, activity room that had got a pool table, Karaoke setup, we used the laundry facility, which is outsourced but the hosts were happy to organise (additional reasonable charges for the service understandably). Parking is available at the property. Driver accommodation including food provided for a little additional charge. Food: breakfast was limited option. Lunch and Dinner are provided on request. We didn’t eat there, as we were out and during the day and opted a restaurant where my kids would eat (fuzzy eaters 😊). Instant Coffee and tea are available at all times at the kitchen (self served). Hosts: run by a couple who were very friendly and passionate about what they do. They took good care and offered all support.

There is no option to prepare tea or coffee at the room. You have to go downstairs to kitchen to make one. Not a big deal but some people would prefer that as convenient. Comparatively less options for breakfast from our other stays.

The view and location is amazing. Being surrounded by all the birds was so peaceful. The restaurants food is delicious and the breakfast everyday was authentic and delicious. The owners were so nice friendly and helpful. This place isn’t in heart of Kandy but easy short tuk tuk ride. I didn’t want to be right in town.

The place was a hidden gem on the edge of the river and in a very quiet and peaceful place. It was a great stay. The host and hostess, Padmini went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The dinner and breakfast were very tasty. Wish we could have stayed more than 1 day. There was also a pool table and karaoke and these were a great addition for our group of 10. There were fireflies in the night and we woke up to such nice bird calls. A hidden gem in Kandy.

The internet could have been better in rooms. We stayed in the corner most room and there was no internet there. Other than that I cannot fault the place.
