New Heaven Dive School and Resort

We loved everything! The view was amazing, the location was great and the staff were very friendly!

Location at Chalok bay. Quieter end of the island. Many nice restirants and bars in walking distance for all budgets. Great beach bars too!

Noise. The more expensive rooms are above the resturant, music until late, despite resturant being closed the staff keep it on while thy make a lot of noise tidying up, washing up etc, you can hear everything, oh and the road too! One night at 12.45am somebody started pressure washing, ahhhh. Pool not big enough to swim. Also it's in middle of the resturant. You are told you can sit there all day, but not evening, doesn't feel that comfortable with the waiters always asking if you want something. Much better to downgrade, 100 steps up the hill but much more quiet and you have a balcony. Staff ok. It's a problem if you arrive or leave out of diving school hours, 9-5. Fist picture, my room last on left. Better room up the hill! ( no fridge and smaller bathroom, no hot water but sleep- lovely! )

Location was good. Quiet area with restaurants and a 7/11 near by.

It was under construction / renovation so the restaurant, pool and office was closed. We were only informed about this few days before our arrival, but they gave us a discount due to this, which was nice.

Located right next to the beach, not far from local shops and restaurants, but it is a long walk from the main part of town. Ideally need a bike to get around if staying here as the taxis are so expensive. Free water dispenser. Walking distance from shark beach and from the viewpoint there, but be careful of bikes and cars.

Issues with ants at times. Swimming pool wasn't part of the hotel, it was a shared pool with the restaurant next door. Couldn't really relax there as they made it feel like you needed to buy something from the restaurant if you wanted to sit by the pool. Long walk up to our room up a lot of steps! Bad smell coming from the bathroom.
