Amami Beachfront Villa with Private Beach

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a serene beach resort that truly embodied tranquility. The rustic charm of the surroundings, coupled with the soothing sounds of the waves, created a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The staff's friendliness was exceptional, making me feel genuinely welcome. Their warmth and attentiveness added a personal touch to the experience, elevating the stay to a memorable level. The resort's culinary offerings were a delightful surprise. The food was not only delicious but also showcased local flavors and fresh ingredients. Each meal felt like a culinary journey, complementing the overall ambiance. Overall, this quiet and beautiful beach resort provided a rejuvenating retreat, where the combination of rustic charm, friendly staff, and delectable cuisine made it a truly enchanting getaway.

That I couldn't stay longer

The location, next to the ocean, is ideal. Quite surroundings, and friendly and helpful staff.

The bungalow is a 5-10 minute walk from the main property and a 10-minute drive from White Beach which is where the nearest restaurants and shops are located. No wifi (a blessing and curse). Restaurant had a limited menu when we visited.

It's a 5-10min walk at the beach to the place where breakfast/lunch/dinner is served. And it's the only restaurant close. Difficult to make while hightide. Restaurant is'nt good organized, some dishes not available, sometimes waiting long

The property is great. We stayed in the little bamboo house right at the beach, its basic but a great place to be by yourself. It’s quiet, right at the beach, not touristy, great hosts that do everything to make your stay enjoyable.

If you stay in a little house on one property with the villa - you still don’t have access to the kitchen I Mathe Villa. Even though it states that it’s a “community kitchen” It would have been helpful if we would have known before our stay.

Everything. Especially Maam Jem. Commending her with her exceptional service and their staff at the villa they are nice, friendly and always helpful.

This review is for the bungalow only. The bungalow is very simple, facing east. Basic built out of bamboo/wood. It has 2 floors, with a rerrace on each floor. Sit and listen to the waves..enjoy the view. No TV, no AC, fan only. It has a hot water shower, a small fridge, and a kettle.The bungalow is on the beach. 30 feet away from the waves. Go out on the sand after 10 ft walk.!! Gorgeous setting. At night, watch the fishermen go out fishing. If the tide is low, you can walk to White Beach. There are small grocery places up the road, baked goods place to the left as you go out, and small food place to the right. Of course, Amami has its own restaurant a bit away. There are mosquitoes nets on the beds, but take mosquitoes repellent before you go. If the simple stay doesn't suit you, book a room in the villa on the same property behind the bungalow. It has much better/good amenities with the same views. There is an excellent facilities caretaker on the grounds. It is overall very good place and I highly recommend it.

I liked the simple and basic bungalow. Some people may not like it. Choose before you go. Villa? Or bungalow? VIlla? Or bunglow?? ..choices..choices!
