Healing Waters Resort and Spa

Great staff, lovely location.

Staying on the first floor of the two-story building, everything that the people in the room directly above you do and say can be heard. The ceiling/floors are paper thin. Unfortunately, the people staying in the room above me "jumped" out of bed every 2-3 hours during the night to use the bathroom - that's what it sounded like to me, but likely they had no idea. Every time they got out of bed, they made a very loud thump onto their floor / my ceiling and it woke me up every time. If I had known this, I would have asked for a second floor room. Just be prepared to hear your neighbors.

The location to the river and downtown was perfect. The natural hot springs in the river were right across the street. The staff we encountered were very nice as well. While the property is VERY outdated, it was very clean.

The facility itself is in great need of repairs and updating. While the room was big with the kitchenette, our tiny shower was literally patched together. The couch was terribly uncomfortable and no throw pillows are provided to help. The bed is listed as a queen, but is a double/full. The roof and siding looked old and tired, the bathhouse rooms were closed for regular maintenance, but looked like I would not have wanted to go in anyways. We typically spend 200- $250 for hotels and sadly, this was the top 3 worst we've ever stayed in as far as value.

Hot springs were the natural mineral springs that the town is known for but not the expensive “glitzy“ ones that were very touristy just across the street. The room was very large and comfortable.

Small cabin was perfect for us. Love the full kitchen. Was very quiet.

A little more expensive than usually pay

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Sarah my massage therapist was excellent!!!

I enjoyed the hot pools very much and the staff were very friendly. The hotel is old and in need of updates. The room fans were very noisy and could hear the next rooms TV and walking around above. The heater was not working.
