Chithirapuram Palace

Location is awesome, it is located in Anachal, 1 hour away from Munnar the centre, nearby market area which makes easy for travel. One can easily cover tourist places fro the location.

Breakfast was average, more options can be included for the same. Even coffee and tea wasn't up to the level. It felt like it was made from milk powder.

The Hospitality was great. Mr Manoj was exceptional in treating us with his jovial approach. Met our expectations. Highly recommended for a calm stay at down town. Pool was clean and nice.

May be there can be a dressing/wash room near to the pool which adds to comfort

Beautiful new building offering all mod cons & a great pool area to cool off in! Fantastic breakfast with a variety of fruit, local delicacy & fresh juice. Special mention to Manoj the manager who goes above & beyond to help the guests out, with trips to shops etc! Location quite far out but worth the tranquility!

Sadly the shower was cold our whole stay & more sun loungers needed at pool side as you feel guilty when others have no where to sit!!!

Breakfast was brilliant (mixture of western and south Indian with omelette and either iddly, Dosa or puri,) Staff were attentive and really friendly, clearly all work very hard. Lovely location, tucked in the valley with great views all around and the pool is great. Very chill feel

Restaurant sometimes lacked atmosphere (no music) Rooms could do with a lick of paint and just a bit of improvements, seem a bit dated

The place is wonderful. Small family run hotel in a nice location. In the middle of the tea plantations and off the main road. Very quiet. Nice pool. Overall great experience.

The balcony view is not what you expect when they promote it. Ask for the pool side wifi when you check in. There is a constant problem with power outages.

During my recent trip to Munnar, I spent two peaceful nights at Chithirapuram Palace, and it turned out to be one of those stays that quietly steals your heart. Parking space, you need to be very careful if you are self driving as it is uphill and congested parking place.

We loved our stay at Chithirapuram Palace; it is well worth the drive up from Kochi and provides a convenient jumping-off point for a hard day’s exploring of Munnar and the surrounding natural beauty. The hotel itself is very well cared for with a Maître D’ who seems to thrive upon making their guests’ satisfaction his No.1 priority - a delightful man, full of old-school professionalism and unmistakable charm. In a world of non-stop entertainment and constant distraction, the Chithirapuram Palace is an increasingly rare invitation to simply relax and read a book. Or write one.

The pool was clean and mostly free. The location was one of isolated and calm. And the food was excellent (for my South Indian taste buds).

The mini fridge in the room wasn't working. But it wasn't much of a bother, so I didn't ask them to fix it.
