We loved the location and wildlife around the property, a balance of dropping into Mirrissa or Welagama’s hustle and bustle and horns to a calmer surrounding. Watching the birds, squirrels, parrots ,Monitor Lizzards and apes in a morning. Make sure you take the time to look at the hive of activity on and aroumd the paddy field. Monkeys are in the trees on the other side. We had a room upstairs with a balcony which was consistently cooler and a great place to catch the breeze. The hosts added to the charm, Bani and her husband provided us with a breakfast of champions and spoilt us with pancakes and biscuits and tea. They helped with local services and tuk tuks and even went out of their way to surprise my husband with a birthday cake. Our room very clean, large and airy with a large bed and bathroom. The fan and A/C both worked well as well as constant hot water . Two very happy customers and we would return without hesitation.

We don’t have anything negative to say but be aware as others have said that you need to get a tuk tuk or walk five mins and catch a bus. They are every few minutes! Tuk Tuks £1.25 on average 500 LKR each way . Bus = pence! Approximations as the tuk tuks can depend on your bartaring skills . All adds to the experience! 😀

Very welcoming! We stayed longterm and asked for mosquito net in advanced and they fixed it for us. If something was wrong for ex our plug for aircon, they fix it directly for you in a minute. They offer us tea and coffee many times and also breakfast and sugo with coconut milk. Always present if you need them. Super welcoming every time you come back to the resort.

Baniya is very friendly and helpful. Gave us the upper floor room which is large and has a balcony with paddy field views. Cold AC and a very large bed. Large bathroom also with hot water every time! Could also have a pot of tea or coffee brought to the room. We needed to stay an extra night and this also was no hassle. We even had a very relaxed check out later in the day. Easy place to recommend.

Located 25-30 mins walk from beach/town. Be aware you need tuktuk journeys frequently. Ants. Too many just kept appearing in our room. Not sure what can be done however as it happens in Sri Lanka. Maybe a warmer blanket provided in the room. Blind needed on room door at night.

The property is not so close to the city center, the room was quite good, and the staffs were very friendly.

There were many ants in the room.
