Safari Desert Camp

Wonderful safari camp with well designed pods and very helpful staff.

A bedside table would have been great!

Location in the Omani desert is unique, the journey was the best part. Dinner and breakfast were nice.

No electricity during daytime so also no internet. Only after sundown and stops again at 8AM. Internet in room didn't work, you had to be near reception (and only in the dark so roughly between 7pm-7am). The massive pillows made sleeping hard. Bathroom was very smelly, we received another room after complaining about it. For that expensive price I had expected a much better room.

Nice atmosphere, helpful staff.

There was an organizational problem so we couldnt stay in the tent we booked for. The tent we booked had full of mosquitos and it was super cold during the night. The staff was friendly but didnt speak any english so it was hard to communicate. Bonfire was nice but the dinner arrived very cold. Overall there is a management issue in this place.

Se ci si vuole immergere completamente nell’atmosfera del deserto questo è sicuramente il posto giusto. Si devono fare circa 20km di deserto, se si ha un 4x4 è raggiungibile autonomamente, altrimenti dispongono di navette che ti portano al campo. Organizzano tantissime attività tour con cammelli, con fuoristrada al tramonto e all’alba, giro con i quad e molto molto altro. Personale e guide gentilissimi. Colazione e cena tipiche incluse.

La tenda non era quella scelta in quanto le foto non rispecchiano la realta, molto piu spartana, ma abbiamo dormito bene. La passeggiata nel deserto con i cammelli troppo cara per quello che offre.
