The Mudhouse Marayoor

From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we knew we were in for something truly special. Our host, Deepak, set the tone for an unforgettable stay with his warm hospitality that immediately made us feel at home. Greeted with a refreshing cold drink and engaging conversation, we felt welcomed and cared for right away. The grounds of the hotel are nothing short of breathtaking. Nestled amidst lush greenery, each individual bungalow is thoughtfully laid out to ensure complete privacy. The attention to detail in the design and furnishing of the bungalows is wonderful - every element carefully chosen to offer comfort and elegance. The beds were incredibly comfortable, making it hard to leave in the mornings! What truly sets this place apart is the incredible staff. Their genuine care and joyful spirit brought so much fun and warmth to our stay. They went above and beyond to ensure everyone was happy and well looked after. Dining was a delight with meals that were not only delicious but beautifully presented, turning every meal into a special occasion. One of the most memorable moments was a surprise dinner arranged by Deepak in a special place on the property bathed in candlelight. Thank you! Deepaks knowledge of all the local surroundings were invaluable. We will certainly be back on our next trip to India!

We loved our stay here - a very warm welcome, a charming room, delicious food and a beautiful location.

Het was zo mooi en stil, we hadden het tree house, het was zeer comfortabel met een prachtige openlucht badkamer!

Enchanting was the word my sister and I used during our stay - you can see and feel the care that was put into the design and every touches throughout - the staff is wonderful and so kind- all of them- breakfast was delicious, the barbecue night was the best . We did the river walk that was so relaxing and quiet (even had to cross a family of monkeys which was quite exciting / terrifying ). I would def recommend it- we did stay in the tree house which was magical in itself but note that as mentioned before the stairs are really tricky and can be a challenge in the middle of the night. Lastly - ear plugs are needed as you can easily hear dogs barking (and lots of birds singing ) but would still do it again !
