Munnar Ice Queen Resorts

The hotel manager is very helpful, the swimming pool and facilities are all good. The view over the pool is exceptional.

Unfortunately there is building work at the front of the pool. This doesn't affect the back of the hotel where we stayed and where the pool is.

Food was delicious and service was excellent

Breakfast on the first morning was from a menu - the second was a buffet. The first was better. The first night it was lovely and quiet - really peaceful. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable.

The second night was loud and noisy with other guests coming and going. We had a room on the ground floor near the stairs.

Rooms were clean and property is kept clean. The staff is very hospitable . Breakfast is ok ( not a big spread) , but food is delicious. Pool is 4ft and can accommodate 4-5 adults.

Location is an issue, since last 2 kms is difficult especially the roads. Having a car is mandatory since reaching points is tough. There is not much walking space within and around and not many amenities.

Reception upgraded us to a view of the pool which was nice of them. I was hoping for a view of the mountains for but only "forest" views. The breakfast buffet was pleasant.

I was hoping for mountain views as per their web site (from memory) but only forest views. The dining room lacked atmosphere so we asked them to put on some music and ended up putting our own playlist on, which was fun for all involved. Location wise, it was quite hard to find but we are from NZ and driving ourselves so probably no surprises there and by the time we arrived we were looking forward to a beer. They don't serve alcohol which won't be a problem for some but if you are looking forward to a cold beer; bring your own. This is not just Munnar Ice Queen but lots of places in Munnar.
