Cannot thank Ty, Sarah and the whole team at ZEN enough for there amazing hospitality, kindness and generosity which was delivered in the time we spent there. What a beautiful hidden gem they have created in Zanzibar! We felt so welcome from the minute we walked in! immaculate vibes ,positive energy,amazing music, stunning 3 story bar where you can eat & watch unreal sunset on the rooftop, very clean rooms, great food options & cocktail menu! Overall beautiful experience spent at ZEN I will definitely be back in the future . 100% recommend to anyone thinking of going! Thank you❤️❤️

"Gem nestled between the trees"

The property is a stunning and peaceful retreat. The facilities are in great condition and great service from staff. Sarah the manager is a great hosts and was able to arrange a day trip for me in short notice. The 3 storey bar offers stunning view of the valley. The rooms are beautiful and the outside shower is a plus

The gravel road leading to the property is in poor condition due to rainy conditions, making it hard to drive on. When making payments by card the property adds 4% to the bill

"Peaceful Stay"

Property was a wonderful peaceful oasis, absolutely beautiful

Road to property was like going off road for about 7-10 mins. The location is not walkable to the beaches, but you just need to let the front desk know you would like a shuttle/taxi for a very affordable price!

"The ZEN boutique resort holds up to its objective, It showcases the best of nature and relaxation."

I loved that it was a boutique hotel and allowed a very private experience. The staff are friendly and cordial.

Breakfast menu was really limited and restrictive and was the same each day.

"Rest and recovery"

We loved this beautiful property! It had breathtaking views from the top floor of the clubhouse bar it was amazing! The staff were extremely friendly and the owners were super helpful and welcoming you will love them! The food was great in the restaurant and the breakfast was always fresh and delicious! The pool was beautiful the nicest property in the area! Highly recommended for anyone for a few days. The outside shower was heavenly!

Please bear in mind that power across the whole island is not great it’s something that we experienced in all of the properties we stayed at, but it didn’t affect our stay.
