Kathalee Beach Resort

Location is great. Right on the end of sunrise beach, very picturesque. All rooms have sea view. They have free shuttle bus to walking street, also free kajaks, there is a small island very close where you can snorkel, many fish. They have free staff also took us to the ferry and helped with our luggage as my daughter was sick, very helpful.

The room is to small for 1 adult and two children so at arrival if we wanted a ekstra bed it would cost 6000 baht ekstra, on top of the 21000 baht for 5 nights. Maybe it’s booking.com who should be more specific with this rather than the hotel, but really annoying.

The most stunning thing about this property was the Amazing and friendly staff! The manager Kun was sweet, charming and added so much to the property. The location was really nice.

Great location, great views. Comfy bed. Really friendly staff Room is spacious.

Terrible breakfast and house keeping didn’t clean the room- only replaced the requested linen. Bathroom is a bit gross. Terrible shower that floods the bathroom and wets everything walls etc

We payed to much for r the room. . And we payed 10% for the creditcard. Thatr was fär to. much. That was not o.k. Room was also noisy.

Friendly and helpful staff

Hotel describes itself as a spa - it is not . It’s a basic hotel - just above a hostel . Breakfast is basic . Bed was very hard - and pillows were also hard . Shampoo and shower gel are very basic . All in all the facilities provided are not good enough for the price . This hotel is very overpriced

We had the most stunning view from the hotel. The room has a great size, balcony is nice. The beach in front is very cute, no boats parking so that is extra. Breakfast was totally ok and the owners were nice.

Im not kidding it was the worst mattress I have ever had in my life. Me and my husband were struggling so bad after 2 days that I was considering to book a night somewhere else just to sleep properly. Bathroom could use renovation, or at least a holder for the showerhead and some proper ventilation. The balcony was nice but had only one sunbed , so the 2 of couldn’t relax together.

The location is perfect for those who don't necessarily want to be near Walking Street or the port. The hotel offers evening transport to the center and pickup at the pier/check-in after arrival. It's a lovely spot for breakfast—right by the beach.

For those with a light sleep, it might be difficult to rest here, as every night you can hear the wind and what seems like the roof being lifted by it. There are also similar noises coming from the door side. In our room, there was only one sunbed for two people, and overall, we got better value for money at the next resort, even though we paid 1,000 baht less for a room there.
