Islander Beach Resort - New Smyrna Beach

Great spot on the beach

There was only one working (not well)very small elevator for the whole resort. The other has been out apparently for at least a year. I wasn’t aware I would be in one of the few rooms not facing the beach.

This is our 5th time staying at this place. It is also our final time. One of 2 elevators has been broken every year. Enough is enough. Unsupervised teens in the adults only hot tub, people “saving” chairs all day only to use them for 30 minutes, and lastly guests blasting music from Bluetooth speakers at 9 am.

One of the 2 elevators hadn't worked in a year.. The other works part of the time and it sure didn't work at leaving time around 4:30 am when needed to get the luggage and kids down to the car so we could catch a flight..

Slow and non-working elevator.. Spent more time wait on the elevator than we did in the pool. 7th floor is rough on a 2 , 5,, 6, and seven year old when they are already tired..

Clean rooms, great AC!!

One 1 elevator. You had to wait in line for 15 minutes. When you are on the 7 th floor that’s a lot of stairs to climb!!

Elevators were not working

Spent 3 nights at this resort, for 3 nights 1 of 2 elevators were only partially operational, most of the time both elevators were out of order. The resort has 7 floors. Stairway access is from the outside of the building so if it's raining you are going to get soaked. What happens if handicapped people are residing there and there is an emergency with no operating elevators? Call hotel to confirm elevators are operating BEFORE booking at (386) 427-3452. The room we stayed in had tile floors which had not been mopped, and maybe not vacuumed, in a long time, our feet were black after walking on the dirty floors in a short time.

Most of it is the breathtaking view.
