Islander Beach Resort - New Smyrna Beach

The front desk people were exceptional! We didn't need anything it was all right there. Plenty of pool towels and plenty of places to sit and hang by the pool. And the beach was right there.

The bathroom was a little tight and difficult to change in privacy.

Property was so so had an issue checking in once we got to the room. There was a blower as if there had been a water leak or a flood in the room. I went back downstairs to talk to the girl that checked us in and asked for a different room and she adamantly told me no I asked her to please contact her manager and she told me she would not do that so my husband and I went back up unplugged the thing, but I put a damper on the room because it did smell a little musty she first told me somebody had smoked in there, which is I added, requested a non-smoking room and I told her this when I walked back downstairs But she was not willing to do anything to accommodate me as a client. Her name is Cathy by the way.

Old rooms, not clean, roaches (told "that's Florida"). Beach and pool were lovely. Room was not up to our standard.

I know they were waiting for the elevator to get fixed

I had a wonderful stay at Islander Beach Resort! The location right on the beach is unbeatable, and waking up to ocean views every morning was a dream. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the pool area was perfect for relaxing. It’s a peaceful, well-kept property—great for both families and quiet getaways. I’d definitely stay here again!

Elevators

I loved everything they did activities for the kids almost ever day.

They need more ways to get up stairs with your luggage we was there 8nights and the elevator was down the whole time so everyone was trying to use one it was a mess. They need something to keep the pool just a little bit cooler during the day and maybe open longer for the adults.
