The GrandResort - Leonardo Limited Edition

Good location

I had high expectations for the GrandResort Limassol given the price point, but unfortunately the experience did not justify the cost. We booked a room with a pool, expecting a more private experience. However, it was not clearly communicated that the pool was essentially connected to a long shared pool used by multiple rooms on the same floor, which significantly reduced the sense of exclusivity. At nearly €1,600 for two nights, the overall experience including a king bed that was actually two twin beds pushed together😂😂 The hotel also seemed eager to charge extra wherever possible. For example, we were asked to pay €5 per glass simply to have empty glasses delivered to our room, which felt excessive and unnecessary for a resort of this category. While the facilities are decent, they did not feel exceptional enough to match the premium rates being charged. In addition, the atmosphere was heavily geared toward families and children. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway with a more adult-oriented environment, this may not be the best choice. Overall, not a bad hotel, but in my view it was not worth the price paid, and I would likely choose a different property on my next visit to Cyprus.

The room was comfortable, in general the staff were friendly, the beach was nice, the breakfast was very good.

Unfortunately, there was urine on the room’s toilet seat when we first went in. I was shocked as you don’t expect that, especially in a 5 star hotel. I called house keeping and it took them 20 minutes to arrive. On our final day, my children wanted to stay a bit longer on the beach, so I requested a late checkout (only an hour), which was rejected by the receptionist. Their reason was that the hotel was full, when it clearly wasn’t.

In der Nacht war es in der Lobby laut. Der Manager hat das Problem nicht gelöst. Die Drinks waren mit sehr viel Eiswürfel verwässert. Das Abendbuffet war billig und eintönig gemacht. Das ist sicher kein 5 Sternehotel. Strand wurde vom Abfall nicht gereinigt.
