Everything about the property was incredible. The staff, the food to die for, the location, the peace. The best stay we had so far, Suresh sorted out everything for us, even allowed us to check out late, so we could enjoy the facilities for longer. Nothing negative to say about this place.

We had such a wonderful stay at this hotel and can’t recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. A special thank you to the front office team manager Suresh, Buddini Wasantha, and Supun—who truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I was travelling with my baby, my mum, and my grandmother, and the team was incredibly kind, attentive, and accommodating to all our needs. They made sure we were comfortable at all times and handled every request with genuine care and professionalism. Their hospitality made our experience so pleasant and stress-free, and it really felt like a home away from home. We’re so grateful for the effort they put into making our stay special. I can’t wait to come back again!

The hotel is in a beautiful location by the lake. The staff were friendly.

The hotel seems to trade on its reputation as a historic place to stay (even though the old building is no longer there) and charges high rates for what it offers. The food was average. The pool was in a very small corner of the garden and more like the size of a hot tub. Don't waste your money staying here.

Heel mooi boetiekhotel, vriendelijk personeel en mooie kamers. Prachtig gelegen aan het meer tegenover het nationaal Park waar je af en toe olifanten aan het water ziet. Wij zouden zeker terugkomen, top!

Stunning position on the lake, with amazing views, just steps from the archeological museum. The place exudes character and charm. The rooms are huge and nicely appointed. Nice décor throughout the premises, with immaculate lawns on the terraces. Excellent breakfast.

We found the cleaning not impeccable: many flies in the dining room, and once a rather large crawling insect in the room. The service was correct, but lacked the personalised touch one would expect in a hotel of such standing (and price).

La suite royale est magnifique. Vous verrez si vous avez un peu de chance des éléphants de l’autre côté de la berge avec les jumelles fournies par l’établissement. Le petit déjeuner srilankais est hyper copieux. Vous admirez le coucher de soleil de la piscine à débordement au bord du lac Situé idéalement à côté des sites historiques.

Le site est exceptionnel nos 3 chambres avaient vue sur le lac. Le personnel est magnifique de gentillesse. Le décor so british chambre spacieuse il ne manque rien. La délicatesse des petits gâteaux de bienvenue. Le restaurant pour le diner est délicieux et le petit déjeuner un pur bonheur. Une adresse incontournable pour les visiteurs du site de Polonnaruva. La piscine à débordement face au lac est top. Catherine et famille
