It is tired and certainly needs upgrading in certain bedrooms

A very comfortable hotel in an excellent location. The bed was very comfortable and despite being near a road the location was peaceful and scenic. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food in the bar was very good.

There was nothing we didn’t like about this hotel but the following would have made our stay perfect. The lighting in the room we were in could have been better as there was no natural light near the dressing table or in the bathroom for doing makeup. A booklet advising on times for the restaurant and breakfast and detailing the WiFi password for guests would have been helpful.

Room cleanliness. Bathroom was dirty. The back of the bathroom door was horrible

Great evening meals. My request for apple sauce with my Lincolnshire sausages was generously and tastily delivered.

The giant TV in the bar was a bit intrusive one evening, but the staff were very accommodating when we asked if it could be turned off.
