Papaya Cottage Koh Chang

Quite place but close to the main road and a few minutes walk to a beautiful beach Clean room with little kitchen space but satisfying

I really liked the information about the island we got at the start! Also the beach games we could just take for the day which was superb and the welcome drink and free laundry and coffee was also so so nice!

The bad smell coming from the bathroom shower drain. A simple bag of water on top helped, but of course we prefer to not have to do that :)

Peter and his staff have been so kind and helpful, water always available in the room, a coffee was always waiting for me while I woke up (even if late ...). Perfectly located if you want to enjoy beach life and the sea (5 minutes walking). Room clean, comfortable bed, wi-fi always available... I would definitely recommend for those travellers who don't need more than necessary, looking for rest and simple life. Thanks for everything!

The super clean room, which was cleaned every day. Simply furnished, but plenty of storage for clothes. Everything we needed was there. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Location convenient for beach and main shopping road.

Great location, beach and restaurants are a short walk away. The bungalow was simple, but spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Free water provided.

Perhaps switching to bigger water bottles would be better to generate less plastic waste.

Really nice place, close to the road but still quiet during the night. Clean (everyday) and almost everything works. You can have free toast and there was boiled eggs during the morning as well. There are two local lady at the yard during the day, they can fix everything you need. A scooter, a snorkling trip etc. whit a good price, go with them. If i go to Chang again, i will stay here. Peter, the owner is great dude even that he is from Sweden. Thanks for everything Peter, but still the Santa is from Finland and Finnish play better hockey than Swedish.

Actually this is not a minus for Papaya Cottage. But the closest beach is a bit shallow and there is some sharp reefs under the water, so be careful in there. Go above the river to north about 200m, it's way better. Or If you have a scooter, the forest beach at the south end rocks! Use the mosquito repellent after sunset.

Friendly, feel on holiday right away, host is ready to help for anything. We immediately liked the place and were lucky to extend our stay 😁

In room 7 there was a smell from the sink and shower pipes.à when we arrived, and that was cleaned when we notified the host. Kids found that the matrix from the bunked bed was a bit too hard.
