Papaya Cottage Koh Chang

Breakfast was basic but good, the proximity of the resort to the beach and nearby shops and restaurants was excellent, overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return, we found the other guests very nice and friendly

From the moment I stepped into this place, I felt welcome, like I was home. Peter and Ae greeted me warmly, provided all the information I needed about Koh Chang, and took care of everything for me. They helped me get the best scooter (the roads are dangerous, so you need a good one!), arranged diving and tours, and assisted with anything else I wanted. When I fell a bit sick while traveling alone, they took me in and cared for me like family. They even invited me and the other guests to a family BBQ on a Sunday evening. Besides the incredible hospitality, the location is perfect—situated between White Sand Beach and Kai Bae. This area is the easiest to drive on a scooter, and the beaches are wonderful (including Chai Chet in the middle). You can also reach Lonely Beach in just 15 minutes by driving. The surroundings have everything you need: great food, a 7/11, a gas station, and more. The cottage itself is lovely and comfy. The shower has hot water, the air conditioning worked great, and there’s a balcony and a small kitchen area with coffee and a fridge. Plus, there’s a shared kitchen outside the room with every kitchen tool you could think of. The Wi-Fi was superb, even better than the Wi-Fi at the co-working spaces on the island. No wonder I came for three nights and ended up staying for almost a month. Thank you, Peter, Ae, and all the wonderful and lovely staff. This will be my home every time I visit Koh Chang from now on.

Peter is a lovely friendly guy who could not do enough to help and advise. His wife and staff are very welcoming also and work very hard to make your stay enjoyable. Peter and his wife hosted an amazing party which brought everyone together who were staying in the cottages. He cooked amazing food, all of which he bought and prepared himself which was very much appreciated thank you 😊 would definitely recommend 👌

Liked almost everything.. location was excellent.. in the middle of the island. Easy access to klaang prao beach (5 mins walk), Lonely beach, white sand beach and Kae Bae Virw point.. the owners are super friendly and extremely cooperative.
