Soon as we opened the caravan door to the smell of dirt, damp, wet dog we knew it was going to be disappointing (disappointing is an understatement after speaking to the owner who could of prevented this review but I’ll get to that) the caravan is a health hazard and should not of been able to be let out to a family with young children, every single radiator in the property has paint peeling off exposing rust and dirt I had to keep pulling my 12 month old son away from. The carpets were absolutely rotten my son had brand new white trainers on and after crawling on the floor for a couple of minutes were black from the dirt (owner claimed they had been deep cleaned a couple of weeks prior) the toilet seat!! Is that old it was partly worn half the colour was missing off it. The bedding had disgusting stains all over the quilts and pillows, I ended up sleeping on my dressing gown and towels that I took. The cutlery was all dirty and so was the the drawer they were sat in, I had to thoroughly clean everything before I let my children eat. The pans need binned, they were also rotten, the mirrored wardrobe to the main bedroom is completely covered in dirt and rust, the baby’s cot was dirty and had bits of mould and crumbs in each corner. The weather was quite bad which can’t be helped but the caravan ended up leaking from the vent in the kitchen my brand new iPhone 15 charger was on the bench and part of the wire was hanging over the bench and now due to the leak has broke my charger. The owner disregard’s and takes no responsibility for anything. She told me that I shouldn’t of left my charger next to the vent (the vent is on the ceiling, which obviously I can’t place a charger on a ceiling) she told me that she is in the process of upgrading her bedding, she told me that she hasn’t been in over a year so wasn’t aware of the dirty cot.

The holiday park at this time of year was ok. Only complaint was the price of pass per person for a 2 night stay at £27 per adult and £23 per child (£177) so the kids could use the pool and access to show bar for a game of bingo is out of order. Also our gas ran out just as reception was closing and the gas person was just leaving we were very lucky and it was only 5 PM. Holiday park is small but we only really wanted accommodation and access to a bar and cafe.

The sofa bed was horrendous to sleep on sags in middle and was hard. Dont know last time it was cleaned. Certain aspects need updating, replace light bulbs when dud. Didn't need outside table and chairs due to weather but you couldn't use anyway all broken made the outside look scruffy. Kitchen area needs chopping board and teaspoons, pans and oven roasting dish need replacing.

It's location was great with bus stop for local transport connections just outside the entrance. The facilities on camp were excellent, we went well off season and not everything was open but that was to be expected but we are already thinking of returning.

"Enjoyed our week end break."

7.0

Location was excellent, close to beach and all amenities.

Can not really complain as price was decent value for accomodation. Accomodation could do with a little spruce up as a little worn. But overall was ok.

"Perfect place to come to escape the toil of everyday life."

9.0

It’s like home from home. It’s in a beautiful location, ideally situated on the park. The caravan has all the amenities needed to enjoy a lovely stay. It’s pet friendly so we can take the smallest of our pack with us.

Nothing not to like.

"Nice place to stay for exploring Scarborough surrounding area"

8.0

Location is good, walking 5 minutes to Cayton beach, not far from Scarborough city centre as well. Play area and swimming pool, amusement park on site. This caravan has 3 bedrooms fits us a family of 5 perfectly, it provided everything we need.

X box is not working kids a bit disappointed. Carpet is old looks dirty, there is strong smells in the caravan as liquid perfume stuff in caravan to prevent damp and mold.

The park itself was great caravan ok . Really disappointed the caravan was not very clean when we got in and on top of that the owner of caravan decided to only give half the deposit back and said that the cleaner had to take longer cleaning the van . When it was relatively tidy when we left so we actually paid the cleaner that day to clean our van instead of the owner
