Absolutely incredible experience - a quiet, nurturing, caring place just 5 minutes of the main road. We were treated like royalty by all staff of this amazing gem - Athreya Ashram. Everything you can imagine to be in a 5 star resort was here, but in a smaller, more personal way. Dr.Thilaxi recommended all the Ayurveda treatments we can benefit from. Super chef-cook Nuwan - made the best roti and curries and best spicy daal. We are sure to return and already miss our morning yoga practice and personalized local trips, arranged by Dr. and Fonseca. Thank you!!

Not the best place for losing weight - the food is amazing, and it is better than in 3 Star Michelin restaurants. Impossible to stop:)

We had such a nice stay in this small hotel. It is very nicely located 10 minutes from the main road at the border of a big lake and many rice fields, full of birds and monkeys. We had a very beautiful spacious house for ourselves. The food was delicious and special. The ayurvedic treatment was good as well. And very friendly staff!

The house was nice and clean, territory is perfect for nature lovers. Staff is friendly and helpful! Breakfast is very specific and unusual with traditional Sri lankian food.

Note, that this place is located in the middle of the jungles, so there are lot of insects and lizards even in the house)

It was an absolutely stunning, quiet, calm place inside a jungle but very close proximity to the town. Luxury villas were amazing and and had most of the amenities. Service was good specially the manager Mr Daham was very helpful during the stay. If you want a relaxing, natural hideout, this is the place for it.

The number of options available for meals could be improved.

It’s my second time in this hotel and since I left the first time I wanted to bring back my little son. I did it this time and he loved the experience. The hotel is only 6 little houses (very well designed, very comfortable) in the middle of the jungle. My son loved swimming in the pool iand going on the boat on the lake. In the evenings you hear elephants trumpet. Food is amazing , the best in Sri Lanka, all freshly made. The stuff very accommodating in fitting my sons tastes. The massages are incredibly relaxing. The location is ideal to visit all ancient cities and parks, you can’t leave Sri Lanka without the experience! In addition , it’s a family business , so nice to give back to communities.
