"Sri Lankan wellness hospitality at its best."

We spent 9 days here in the forest by a lake (and just a few minutes ride from the train station), immersed in nature. We took the Ayurvedic package - 3+ hours a day of treatments, professionally selected and administered (using herbal oils.made on site) - and left feeling wonderfully rested and healthy. All this plus a variety vegetarian, gluten-free food, cooked over a wood fire: simply delicious (and well worth taking cooking lessons for). Shiron and his family and staff were always welcoming, kind and helpful.

"a great place to calm the mind"

A very ascetic and natural place. wild garden, simple but very tasty cuisine, meals served in natural dishes. Rooms very clean, nice and comfortable. the staff tried very hard to please us, especially to our fussy children who don't like to eat everything. because there were not many guests in the facility, we were provided with a larger and more comfortable room for the price of a smaller one. it was very nice. I wish we had used the whole Ayurveda package, I am sure it would have been a wonderful experience. a stay in such conditions is a real rest for the mind

prices for additional services such as massages or yoga classes are a bit overpriced compared to other places
