"Not bad but food and drink price / quality unacceptable."

5.0

The pod was great for some family fun time.

The cleanliness wasn't great and the food / drink choice and prices were the worst we have seen. Very expensive prices for very basic quality food. It's a monopoly so they charge extra. That's fine but we won't be visiting again. Haven is far far better.

We loved the relaxed location by the lake. The pod was clean, warm and comfortable. Facilities were well maintained. We used the onsite shop, restaurant, arcades and swimming pools plus other activities on offer.

"Beautiful area, friendly people and a good time had by all"

8.0

Comfortable, in a lovely area and secure

Toilets could have been cleaned a checked a few more times in the day, being summer and lots of people in and out there didn’t seem to be that many checks and the floor and sink were covered in mud.

"Lovely location, a decent holiday park but a few improvements needed to create an excellent stay"

7.0

Location was great and facilities on site were good, the children were well entertained and the setting next to the lake is rather lovely.

Our camping pod seemed tired and dirty, we stayed about 3 years ago and they have gone downhill since then. It just needs a thorough clean and a tidy up around the pods to bring them back to their best. The windows were so dirty we couldn’t see through them properly and there were cobwebs and a lot of dust inside the pod. The food in the restaurant wasn’t great, we only ordered kids meals but they didn’t enjoy them at all unfortunately. It’s a shame the arcade isn’t open sooner.

"Excellent, felt as one with nature with a comfy, cosy pod."

9.0

Loved the pods. Took a kettle, fridge and air fryer plus extension cables. As has two double sockets. Comfy and cosy, toilet a one minute walk away. Washing up facilities too. Loved being in nature and so close to the lake. Used the open air pool (heated) and indoor pool. Had a meal at the clubhouse played bingo. The children loved it all. The onsite shop was really handy and reasonable prices for milk and essentials. On a night trip to the toilet, loved watching the bats 🦇 flying around. In the daytime, fed the ducks. Very relaxing and will definitely return.

Internet not worth paying for as didn’t work well in the pod, kept dropping out. Much to the frustration of the teens with me. Showers at the indoor pool cold. Showers at the outdoor pool not working at all.

"Gorgeous site, staff! Pod toilets not great though & dog barking was issue during our stay"

7.0

The location to Alsburgh, Woodbridge, southwold. Love this part of the world! The campsite has everything you need for a nice short break stay. The staff were lovely! Site itself nice ( just the pod toilets as I’ll go into!) lake, all very relaxing! We stayed in pods, very comfy! Nice beds, good for kids to socialise with other ‘nice family’s!’ Generally all family’s were really lovely & it was peaceful (apart from dogs which I’ll go into!) pool, play area! everything you need 👌

The 1st night a family went to the club house all night & left their 2 large dogs shut in the pods, they literally barked all night (out of the window aggressively too at anyone who walked past!) until they returned at 11.40pm! It disturbed the peace, caused us annoyance as it echoed across the site & kept us awake. I complained & the staff dealt with it but where are the wardens walking round the site ensuring quiet at these times? It ruined our 1st night out of 2. I do get annoyed with dogs. Some owners are responsible & tell their dogs to shh when they bark but 2 separate owners on the park just allowed constant barking throughout the day/evening. It kills the peace and relaxation! I think parents become used to it but most people can’t stand it! 1st morning also there was no toilet roll in any camping pod toilets at 8am! 😑🤯 we hadn’t packed any so had to borrow from a nearby family as we had an ‘emergency’ sitch with one child. Also from 8am-10 day 2 the toilets were covered in mud so stepping down to dry in shower without getting towel covered was difficult! No toilet roll in 2 toilets out of 3 again. It’s not acceptable. There should be spares kept somewhere & a cleaner during those peak hours to keep checking & clearing the floors of mud (especially in showers) or atleast have something you can use to do it yourself? Other than that we had a great time. To improve I would ensure after 10pm a warden walks round to keep noise down as it echoes around killing the peaceful atmosphere. 10am is also a little early to check out (check in at 4 night before which seems to be getting more frequent in places now?)
