Charming tranquil Shepherds Hut with lakeside balcony 'Roach'

We absolutely loved everything, couldnt fault anything there, the views were absolutely beautiful, its an amazing place for dogs to go aswell! The quietness of the whole place was brilliant,the stars were clear and bright to see Overall a fantastic place to stay.

An idyllic place to stay. Such a peaceful and beautiful location, with lovely walks from the hut,which was clean,cosy and cute and well equipped with a comfortable bed and everything you need for a break. My husband loved the fishing. I loved sitting on the balcony of the hut relaxing and taking in the views and watching the wildlife,including blue tits and great tits on the feeders on the balcony. Our dog,Dixie loved all the walks nearby and playing in the enclosed field with the owner's gorgeous Dobermann! Wish we could have stayed longer in this little paradise,but we definitely hope to return.

Nothing to dislike. We were happy with everything. The owners are both lovely,friendly,helpful people who couldn't be more accomodating. They even told us to help ourselves to the delicious apples from one of their trees to take with us.

We absolutely loved our stay at the shepherds hut for our anniversary. It was relaxing and beautiful from feeding the ducks and having breakfast overlooking the lake to wild swimming and evenings playing scrabble cosy by the fire. The location is an absolute dream and I cannot rate the hosts enough who were helpful, full of local knowledge, friendly and provided all we needed and more. Thank you for a perfect stay we will definitely be returning in the near future. The roach hut couldn't be better suited for getting back to nature in luxury and giving us some much needed peace from the hustle and bustle of town life. The local area is gorgeous too from visiting the 100 acre wood (ashdown forest) to great local pubs and food. Truly lovely scenery for those wishing to relax. The farm has the sweetest cows and the wildlife is exceptional, waking up to hear owls and watch the fish and even a heron from the porch. A true hidden gem in the countryside!
