Cozywoods Hill Resort

Though I am a regular visitor to Goa, this was my first visit.... And I am in love with the The Cozy Woods resort!!! The resort is located in a serene location away from the crowd. The owner Joseph Valadares has taken great care to ensure a fine balance between nature and comfort. The property has awesome ambience and one of the best swimming pools I have ever visited. A perfect place if you are wish to enjoy with family or friends.

Being off-season and the ongoing Ganesh festival, the restaurant was not operational. We had to order food from outside; which caused a bit of inconvenience. However, I believe that was due to bad timing from my end.

The only thing I like here is that the cottage room was big and clean.

Location is too far from beaches and tourist places. It is inside a remote village surrounded by jungles. The restaurent in the resort was closed and there were no market and restaurent nearby. All were too far. Very limited option for food and very costly. 2 boiled eggs costs Rs50, just imagine the cost of other items. No drinking water facility. Resort owner charges Rs10 for 200ml water and there is no other option available to buy water as the market is too far. Also the rental car charges triples to travel anywhere from the resort. I recommend to take your stay near calangute or baga beach if you want to have fun. Here the hotel charge will be little high but you can enjoy your vacation staying there as all facilities are available over there and if you compare with this resort then staying near beach will save lots of your money and time. We regret choosing this resort and the owner was also very rude and business minded who did not let us go to other hotel as we had already paid him for the resort during online booking. Also the swimming pool was too small to enjoy and the water were not cleaned since long. The owner always keeps an eye on us whenever we were inside pool. Please make your decision wisely and think 100 times before choosing this resort.
