Luxury Shepherds Hut - The Moorhen by the lake

The location was beautiful with the huts surrounding the lake, we couldn't ask for a better view. The facilities were great with everything we needed. The staff were great and really pleasant. Only 25 minute drive into York which is the reason for our trip. If you want somewhere that is peaceful to relax this is the place. The cows and the wildlife were an absolute bonus! What a beautiful fantastic tranquil place. We frequented here as a Base to go to York. But shall return to just stay at the Shepard hut & just relax.

Great value for money, beautiful location overlooking the lake.

The hut was of excellent quality and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was incredibly relaxing and perfectly situated away from the hustle and bustle, making it an ideal peaceful getaway. The owner’s instructions were clear, making everything stress free.

Everything was perfect, there was nothing I didn’t like. I would definitely return for another relaxing break.
