Krouma Camp & Ecolodge

Peaceful abode away from the bustle of the city center, yet, very close to all the attractions. The staff was wonderful, food great and the lodge was relaxing, with one of the few swimming spot around. Thank you Sherif and Esra!

Owner was so friendly and overall staff was very helpfull! The vibe of the place is incredible.

A Very warm welcome from Moshen and team. The room was extremely clean and neat with clean linen. Very beautiful authentic Nubian architecture and very well decorated rooms. It was great to sit in the restaurant area especially at night with the ambient lighting from the Nubian lanterns. Also the lighting of the rocky boulders towering above the camp forms an amazing backdrop at night. Breakfast was not included however it was exceptional and worth the additional cost. Good portions, very fresh and delicious 😋. It was also great to enjoy the kayaks at a discounted price in the fresh cool waters at the cataracts and also provided a lovely location for a swim in the Nile. Can also easily access the Nubian and elephantine Island by boat.

It's a beautiful location in the heart of the first cataract however it's tricky to get in and out after 10 pm as one has to cross the camp with a speed boat. Not too bad if you prefer a laid back nightlife.

Incredible location, very calm, very peaceful, in the middle of nature. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. The food is very good and served in large quantities. We can even swim in the Nil! Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Assouan.

Amazing placement far from noise, with great biodiversity We could enjoy peaceful resort-like stay with swimming in Nile, eating local, admiring the flora and fauna. Many species live on the island 🏝️ We got help in organizing our trips to Philae and Kom Ombo, Krouma also offers many different tour packs.

There were some communication misunderstandings, but we solved them, as people working in this place are very kind and decent. Google translate was also helpful :)

Amazing location, on a small virgin island facing the river. Super quiet at night, beautiful gardens to hang out. Our kids loved exploring the island with goats wandering around. Small paradise 15min aeay from busy aswan. Short boat ride from nubian village. Super easy to organize day tour from one day to another. Very friendly staff

important to book your pick up from the airport as the island can be accessed after a 10min dirt road to get to the boat to cross the river. The food quality was amazing, though its a small kitchen so thing take time, consider ordering in advance. Would recommend the hotel to reduce the amount of option, one or 2 plate of the day would be enough. Everything we tried was good, beat food we had in egypt
